In addition to allowing you to build an incredibly large base of physical preparedness, kettlebell training also allows you to build an embarassingly large collection of kettlebells.

@chuangtsu - It shouldn't be embarrassing. ;-]

That definitely has been the case for me😂. I have 10 kettlebells now and still planning to buy more (I have just one 32kg and would love to have two, for instance).

Have worked up from 16's (12 week bodybuilding) to 20's (Maximorum beta, the Giant and DFW) and now about to restart Maximorum as a 3 day program with a pair of 24's. I'm in no rush and your programs work, as well as being fun. Cheers Geoff. Oh, and forgot to mention. SJS doing wonders for my aches and pains.

I only got a pair of 10 kilo Kettlebells at home, and as I travel a lot can't buy heavier bells 😢 But thank you so much for your advice on carrying your bells in the car, it helped a lot!

What is the "right size" when moving up kettlebell size? Is it Pavel's standard 16>24>32 kg? Or should one go 16>20>24>28>32? Or even smaller increments? As I'm 45, it seems smarter to go e.g. 16>20 than 16>24 to avoid possible injuries. Any scientific research on this subject or experience based thoughts?

These standards for moving up a bell size seem a lot like your "Strong Enough" Standards, with the addition of the TGUs. Would you consider the 10 sets of 1+1 TGUs in 15 minutes with a 32kg part of that, or perhaps a different weight?

What about Double snatches ? Is it 100 in 10 min ? 10x10 EMOM ? Double Turkish get up ? Thank you !
@GeoffNeupert Жыл бұрын
@koumbaras - I rarely do Double Snatches. But you can apply the same standards, or something similar if you wish. And I never do double TGU, so I don't have a standard for them. I think the most I've ever done is 2x32kg, but that was years ago on a whim.

What is the strength gained quickly? Like barbell squats, deadlifts?
@GeoffNeupert11 ай бұрын
@horseman3222 - "Neural strength" - strength gained from doing sets of 1 and 2, for lower volume, and higher intensity.

Hey Geoff, if someone is going between programs that determine bell by RM, when is a good time to test if the program you are on doesn't have a test day at the end? For example, I am on my last week of KSK with a 24kg bell and will be going on to the Maximorum next (you finally sold me with all these videos). I decided to test my snatch on Monday ("light" day), then rest 10 minutes before doing my actual KSK session. That seemed to work ok; I found my new bell size is 28kg. I was able to snatch the 32kg (only tried for a single), but there is no way I could put up sufficient reps for it to be my working bell on the Maximorum. I still need to fit in a C&P test somewhere. Is this ok or is there a better way to do it? Should I test on the weekend, between programs, or on the first day of the new program. Should I take a week easy/off and do my testing there? The reason I didn't want to wait until Friday to test is because I will still be feeling my Wednesday session to some degree. BTW, I love KSK. I have two sessions left and have gained 4 pounds while getting leaner at the same time.

@TheBanzaiBuckaroo - GREAT job with KSK! And good question: Finish the program, rest 1-2 days, then test. Then rest another 1-2 days before starting a new program. Or, if you're impatient, test your RM, rest 20 minutes, and then start the new program.

For the TGUs, what does the 1+1 mean?
@yabbayuya8788 Жыл бұрын
I think it's 1 rep on your left hand and 1 on your right hand then rest and repeat
@10daxing Жыл бұрын
@@yabbayuya8788 Oh cool. I've done Simple where it's 10 sets of 1 = 5 each side, resting until the top of the minute. So this would be double the volume. Thanks!
@yabbayuya8788 Жыл бұрын
I think Geoff means the same as simple and sinister 10 total reps 1 left then 1 right is 1 set then rest and repeat. So 5 singles each side of the tgu is 10 total
@GeoffNeupert Жыл бұрын
@10daxing - 1 rep on one side, one rep on the other.
