Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult

People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Very possible! especially at this moment. Profits can be made in many different ways, but such intricate transactions should only be handled by seasoned market professionals.

Having an investment advisor is the best way to go about the stock market right now. I was going solo, but it wasn't working. I've been in touch with an advisor for a while now, and just last year, I made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.

I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommend Mr Brian Nelson. I met him at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.

I retired at age 62. The next decade will be the best decade of my life. When I was young, I was physically fit, had time, but money was a constraint. Then during the career years, I was physically fit, had money, but time was a constraint. Now retired I an enjoying plenty of time, good physical fitness, and money is not a constraint. Exercise routines are even easier since work does not get in the way. I no longer have to run pre-dawn with a headlamp, now I can relax with a cup of coffee and then enjoy the sunrise with a morning run or cross-country skii. Retiring at 62, health insurance may be substantially expensive, we limited our house hold income to qualify for Obamacare and saved $30,000 per year in health insurance premiums.

Great video! It is difficult, to anticipate and plan the non-financial aspects of retirement. I find that my goals and thoughts on this have changed a bit as I have gotten older. However, you bring up a good way to approach and think about this. Thank you!

Whatever brings you the most joy should be your guiding star. If coaching continues to bring fulfillment and a sense of purpose, it could be a wonderful way to spend your retirement. Ultimately, choosing what makes you happiest is the best decision you can make for this new chapter in your life. Best of luck, John!

Pursuing one's passion often has costs associated with it. We need to estimate what our financial resources and expenses will be for possibly decades to effectively manage our finances and pursue our passion in retirement. A good way to know what we will be able to afford in retirement is to have a real financial plan drawn up, preferably by a Certified Financial Planner, and stick to it. The sooner one does that, the better.

Finances are absolutely necessary to fuel your passions. And hiring a financial planner can be incredibly beneficial as they can provide a clear picture of what you can afford and help create a strategy that aligns with your goals and dreams!

I think you should have mentioned that you can’t get medicare until 65 in the usa. so you would be paying hundreds of dollars for medical insurance in the healthcare marketplace. My wife would pay $700 in a month for medical insurance. so a $2400 social security check- $700 medical = $1700 left over.😂 it’s an easy decision.

Navigating the healthcare system and its costs is indeed a significant part of retirement planning. Your comment underlines the importance of considering all aspects of our financial life in retirement, and sometimes it does boil down to simple math!

The best age is never working for someone else in the first place for you to need to retire. But that’s impossible so as soon as possible while being able to support the lifestyle you want untill you die. Simple in theory many will fail but n practice.

You're absolutely right, retirement is a personal journey. It's all about finding the balance between financial stability and pursuing the lifestyle you desire. Yes, it may seem tricky, but with careful planning, it's entirely possible.

I always thought of retirement as a number, not an age, but I get governments and employers need an age policy.
