I think there should be a time out penalty for botting. If you bot out, you can't play another game for 5 minutes. Each time you bot out, the time penalty doubles.

Feel like this is great advice. Many people become to attached to their original cap. I played a game yesterday where I would have had no chance had I stayed at original cap.

Hey Pete, I see a lot of comments mentioning a time out penalty, so why not take inspiration from other games, for example: CSGO has a four level cooldown (time out) system on competing competitively for people who; loose connection, kick people, get kicked, leave, afk, or get too many reports. -Level 1 is a 30 min ban -Level 2 is a 2 hour ban -Level 3 is a 24 hour ban -Level 4 is a 1 week ban The level increases after you get the cooldown and commit more infractions, and one week of no offences reduces the level. Could something like this be implemented to risk, I'd say yes.

This is crazy I had a very similar game recently where I wanted to team on strong player he had like 500 troops to our 200 and they both quit. But the bots were too strong to beat. I tried a cap run but couldn't. Guess quit after long game and yeah life. Ran to school or work or something

I thought for sure you were going to cleanup magenta in the orient instead of going for the green kill. Not sure if you noticed on reds turn the cap counter went from 3 to 5. Anyway, it wouldnt be hard for devs to change the disconnect rules. Sure, if you legit disconnect, maybe you feel like the game shouldnt penalize you. It should tho. I can think of a few bot out scenarios. Inactivity bot out, network issues bot out, rage quit bot out. Fake bot out. Suicide bot out. The only scenario that would be very painful for a player is the network bot out on a game that has been running for some length. E.g. these multi hour long tournament games. One idea i have is a configurable max timebank that builds up as you play based on how long you take to spend your turn and a unanimous vote to kick by the active players once that time bank runs dry. 1.) Add an incremental activity time bank. 2.) In a 60 second turn timer, if you spend your turn in 40 seconds, add 20 seconds to your activity time bank. 3.) Add a game setting to cap the activity time bank, e.g. 300 seconds. 4.) After timebank is expired, active players can vote to kick. One possible abuse is a player running down the time bank and reactivating in the last 5 seconds before the vote to kick. Of course they would really only be able to abuse it once and if these setting are configurable, to say 60 seconds, the abuse wouldnt be absurd like 3 minute turn timers already is! That said, thiis could also be a setting, e.g. after between 1 and say 5 activity time bank uses, vote to kick is active regardless of time bank. Further, the game could throttle players ability to rank for the next 3 games after a vote to kick. E.g. 1st time you bot out in a 3 day period, next 3 games you earn 50% rank points. 2nd time you bot out in a 3 day period 25%. 3rd and other time 0%. You can recover a throttle tier by completing 3 games in a row. So to get back to 100% after botting out 3 times in a 3 day period, you need to complete 9 games in a row. Thanks Pete! I know you love this game and the community. It would be great to have the bot discussion with the devs once they finish fixing the slider and dice bugs!

When 2-3 players in your lobby have a very similar name so you kick one and he joins back before anyone else. It’s usually when they fill spots 2-3 or 3-4. Early joiners so they can for sure get in a game together.
