Hi Alisha, thankyou for your videos. I'm stil confused by the use of noun after any. I have a question. I've read a question like "Do you have any idea?" ("idea" here is a singular countable noun, so using "any" in this case is correct or not. Similarly, "Do you have a dictionary/Do you have an orange? (a & an in these cases are correct or not? Thank you.

@RajKumar-ds1qv
@RajKumar-ds1qv 5 жыл бұрын
This is an information for you which is given from your computer. And this is not a request or question or an offer. So it has "any".

When you are refering "take whatever you want" or "press whatever you want", etc. You must use any. That's why your computer shows you "any" intead of "some"

para Brasileiros. SOME e ANY praticamente pode ser traduzido como SOME = Algum(a) e ANY = Nehum(a). SOME para dizer algum ou alguma falando de maneira positiva e ANY para nehum(a) de maneira negativa.
