Years ago before my wife and I had kids, we hit Disney at the end of September beginning of October and it was amazing! Once you have kids and are limited to school breaks, you just have to get used to crowds.

As a teacher, I definitely get that lol. Fall break usually isn’t as bad as Spring and Summer, though, because a lot of Florida schools don’t have a break then. If your kids do, that can be a great time to visit!

Room rates will also tell you when to expect crowds. If your dates are flexible, try different dates. Two years ago, Royal Pacific, per night: December 31: $519 (parks are PACKED!!!). January 2: $189 (It's a ghost town). Same trip, same room. Also, aim for the "Savvy Traveler" discount, which is obtained online by booking at least 3 consecutive nights. It is cheaper than the Annual Passholder discounted rate. But sadly, they will not discount that rate any more than the "Savvy" rate. Also, if you book a "Vacation Package", the airfare can be almost free. In 2018, our seats on Delta were only $29 when you breakdown the charges within the package. Remember that slow seasons also mean that the parks might be closing before dark, and some live shows are unavailable. Another great video, my friends! You have great information and an entertaining camera presence.

That really just depends what all you’re wanting to do! Express is always gonna save you time, but it’s a personal choice as far as if it’s worth it or not for you!

We went to Disney & Universal at the end of February of 2015 & Fantasyland and The Wizarding World of HP were absolutely packed, like summertime crowds. We were very surprised. The first week of December however, was an absolutely perfect time for low crowds.

Hi there! We've never visited USH, so we're really not sure! As far as crowds go, I would assume they follow the same pattern as USF. Crowds are lower when people are in school and at work, and higher when people are out of school and off work. August is when crowds start slowing in Orlando! Also, I don't believe Hollywood has any onsite hotels at all!

Went to Universal second week of January in 2020 and it was great. It is dead in the parks so if you want it lively that's not a good time to go but if you prefer low crowds it was great as lines weren't long and I had an Express Pass and almost every ride I got right on. If I didn't have an Express Pass I would have had to wait maybe 10 -15 minutes which wasn't bad either.

We can only sneak down on weekends due to work, so we are always there on Saturdays, and it's usually busy, but we don't care, we love to people watch and wait for that express pass to kick in. Our next week trip is the last week of June, we know it's gonna be packed, but don't care. Staying at RP with unlimited express and will just dive into the madness!

Of course we only get to go 3-4 times a year so we try to get as much as possible out of every minute. Like we said, these are the best times to go but you’re never not gonna have fun!

Yes, we're tired, but it's worth it. As an old Israeli man told me once, "While you're young, do the things. Don't think, just do." As far as hotels, we always suggest staying on-site! We personally have horror stories from staying off-site and have heard them from many others!

We are so so so sorry :(. Typical November is when you can start seeing some of the water rides and pools close down for winter maintenance, not always, but sometimes. It really never gets cold, but definitely too cold to be swimming. November is just a weird month, some years its in the 80-90s and others 60-70s. We love going in March, we do it every year because the Mardi Gras celebration is in full swing! If youve never done Mardi Gras, we would probably try it once!

Hey there! So express passes are a individual choice! If you want to fly through and ride ride ride, then the express passes will help you do so. If you want a more relaxed approach and there are rides you don't care to miss, then you might not need one at all!

How exciting! As far as the crowd levels go, we would suggest you check out the Orlando Informer crowd calendar. They do a really great job and you can find it just by googling that phrase! As far as annual passes, it just depends what the deals are for tickets when you book and whether or not you can get a passholder discount on your hotel. You just have to compare prices!

You can look at the Orlando Informer crowd calendar to get a better idea of how busy it’ll be. If it’s us, we would probably go with the premier hotel. If the pool is what you’re interested in at Cabana Bay, you can still use that pool even if you’re not staying there!

Mid May tends to be a slow time at Universal. If low crowds is what you are looking for then yes that should be a good day to visit.

We're planning to take our 9 year old in September for a week(7 nights) to celebrate her birthday. We were thinking of getting the 3 park unlimited ticket for our stay. Will we be able to get in the majority of Universal's attractions(at least once) if we utilize the early morning entrance most days? Or should we still pay for the express pass for a day at each park to get the best experience? I was thinking that the express pass might not be necessary since we will have so many days to work with.

If you’re willing to wait in line, you’ll absolutely have enough time to ride everything in a week! September isn’t one of the busier times in the park, so we would suggest waiting until you get there. Then, if you decide you want a day with the express pass, you can purchase it in the parks! Thanks for your reply! I am enjoying watching your videos. Lots of good info! Very appreciative as I'm only a Disney veteran. Venturing out into new territory here with Universal. We have decided to budget for at least one day of express passes and we'll just hit the parks hard that day. Do you know how easy/difficult it would be to do a split stay at Universal? We are wanting to split our week between two different resorts but won't have a vehicle for our stay.

Anytime is a GREAT time to go to Universal. All we can say bad about June is that it is hot and that it is busy. However, it is Florida so its hot A LOT and the parks are busy more days than not!

Hi, am due to go the first week in April next year, but I just checked the Orlando informer crowd calendar and it says it's peak busy, but there's very few colleges on spring break that week and no Florida schools are off that week, so why would it be predicted to be so busy?

A lot of schools around the country will still be on spring break at that time apparently! We have visited at that time and it has definitely been busy! We think mid March is much busier though!

October is usually one of the slower times in the parks! Halloween Horror Nights will be going on during these dates, so Universal Studios may close earlier some nights, but it’s still a great time to visit!

Here’s a question only a frequent park-goer could answer I suppose: I’m planning a trip maybe first week in November bc I would love for it to be a bit cooler and I don’t want to get kicked out when HHN starts before the sun sets in October. When do they start decorating for Christmas in the park? And will it take away from the magic if staff is super busy taking down halloween deco and putting up Christmas deco that week? I wouldn’t want to lose out on some of the ambiance if all that activity is distracting.

So this past years event did not start until the 14th of November which means Christmas stuff was likely being out up during that time frame. They great news is you will hardly notice them working during park hours because they are aware and want to keep that atmosphere in tact!

The premier hotels are usually the first to sell out unfortunately. The express passes are definitely the biggest plus to those hotels. We hope you get to go soon!

Question 🙋🏻‍♀️ So my family are going in July(busy). If the park decides to open earlier to the public. Will staying at the on site hotels not be worth it since we can't get in earlier than everyone else? We would all be getting in at the same time? Staying onsite always gets you in the parks an hour before general guest. If the parks open at 8, you’ll have early park admission at 7!
