These guitars are amazing, made by Edwin Wilson and his team, using all the experience from being one of the head honchos at Gibson Custom since 1990, and the brainpower behind Collectors choice and more importantly: the Custom Shop 'True Historic' line. Now Edwin heads up the Heritage Custom Shop at 225 Parsons street in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A place FULL of history and that oozes mojo!
These guitars are the best in their price range by far! The rather a-sexual 'H-150' name disguises a truly unique and very sensual guitar that will get your hormones running! Rob already owns one and more of these guitars will be coming in soon. They are tone monsters, with proprietary low wind pickups, ultra thin original formula Cellulose lacquer, the best and lightweight tone woods, nice fat neck with beautiful dark rosewood boards, insane flametops, the right colors and not unimportantly: an altered and improved, slightly asymmetrical headstock.

It's a shame that we don't see guitar masters like Eric Clapton playing Heritage guitars. My guess is that they've signed exclusive deals with Gibson, and that the contracts specifically mention that they cannot be playing these fine Heritage guitars in photos or at venues. How else could one explain this?

Incredible guitars and will probably order one, but I am irked by the fact that the pick guard doesn't symmetrically follow the curvature of the body.

Do the Gibsons pick guard follow.ot perfectly?
@paultiplea

@@cromBumny no but they don’t need to. They’re straight edged and at an angle; they’re not trying to follow the outline of the guitar.

A 30 year old Kalamazoo worker in 59 would be 90 today. I hardly think you can make that argument LOL. Love the heritage guitars though

I'm sure the 3 guys by now are retired, that's probably why they sold the company in 2016. But their methods have been passed on.

In terms of weight, are these guitars "weight-relieved?" Inotherwords, if you look under that cap, are there holes drilled into the maple body? Thank you.

When Gibson closed the Kalamazoo factory in 1985, some of the Former employees bought the factory and most of the gear/machines inside. The 3 guys that bought it started working at Gobson In the mid 1950s. They built the Bursts...Gibson can't even claim that today, the guitars Gibson makes now are mostly machine made. The Heritage are mostly hand made, like they were in 1959. In 85 they bought the factory and a bunch of other stuff that I assume came with an agreement to allow.Heritage to continue making some Gibson look-alikes. In 1991 Gibson and Heritage signed another deal which allowed Heritage to continue doing what they do

@@cromBumnynot true anymore. Since Plazacorp bought Heritage in 2015 I believe, they’ve been using a lot of CNC machining. They went from finishing 3 guitars a day to 6. All of the old timer builders are gone. From what my research tells me.

does anyone know if these instruments have similar tuning stability issues with gibson lp's on the g and b strings? I see they use grover tuners which i hear are quite good.

The head angle is more shallow, and the strings are generally straighter than the Gibson. My H150 goes out of tune less than my 50s Stamdard Gibson LP

5:58 Acc these heritage guitars are the same shape as the heritage 80 series lps from the early 80s minus the cutaway horn. When they first started they were the exact same guitar till gibson threatened to sue. All they did was basically circumcise the horn tip and change the guard. If you throw a poker chip and take off the guard itll look like an lp. Heritage is what gib used to be and what the cs is td. Except gib literally sold their soul to become a mass manufacturer and large corporation and left it in Michigan. How do u leave behind a factory that literally made every legends guitar?
