Alot of fighters izzy fought underestimated him or failed to recognize his speed. Brunson didn't, hence him shooting for takedowns. I think he had a idea and that izzy was going to be fearful to strike because of the takedown but it seemed izzy and his camp had already thoroughly prepared for whatever Brunson had in store for them, If Brunson mixed his striking with wrestling then it would have been better, or more competitive .he unfortunately got too immersed in the grappling that he forgot that izzy is dangerous at counter striker hence he got a knee to the face. I generally think Brunson had a great gameplan, he just didn't setup those takedowns well though
