Everyone gets stuck at some point but Jake got stuck right at the beginning which is a very bad for a boxer. Mike Tyson got stuck in his 30s. Floyd got stuck around the same time.(that is why its recommended to retire at age 40 in boxing because no matter how good or talented you are around that age you can just go down hill). Jake hasn't improved since Woodley. Its not like he was like Pineda who was poor , dude is very rich.

@e2rqey
@e2rqey Жыл бұрын
Jake has to work on his footwork. he doesn't ever slip punches or actually utilize lateral movement. Once the jab is thrown at him he seizes up and plants his feet. he general only ducks, or moves straight backwards. Also idk why he's trying to use the philly shell like he's mayweather that requires decades of muscle memory that he just doesn't have. Good reflexes and instincts though. Managed to get in some nice counter punches, but he was outclassed forsure. Technically and physically. I don't think he's able to think on his feet and make the right adjustments during the fight either. He's fighting on instinct and thats about it, but the problem with that is that you can end up becoming really predictable and end up getting timed because instinctively react the same way to certain looks without thinking about it.

Jake got some hits in and dont get me wrong - good ones, well planted and rotated. And they barely fazed Tommy. Tommy outclassed, outpaced, outworked Jake. And people were doubting Tommy´s ability to go for a long time. Tommy has proven as solid and levels ahead. Those fundamentals are great, he just needs to work on his defense and we could have a seriously good fighter in Tommy.
@punchline3988
@punchline3988 Жыл бұрын
Tommy needs a little more than defense. He's really hesitant. He doesn't seem to have that killer instinct. He thinks about his next punch instead of just naturally throwing it. Hopefully that comes with experience, dedication and training. I must say though, I have never been more excited, relieved, and thankful for someone winning a fight as I was when Tommy's name was called out as the winner. He did good. Jake was all excuses and soft spoken after the fight. Fantastic outcome. ✌️

Y'know what's even worse about that? He's now saying one of the reasons he lost was because he had a wet dream. Not even joking. His """logic""" is that he lost testosterone so he wasn't hitting as hard and that it made his legs weaker because jizz is stored in the legs. I'm paraphrasing, but that's what he said. When the amount of testosterone stored from not jacking off isn't enough to enhance performance in any way, and if there is jizz IN your legs, something's gone incredibly wrong. Actual clown behavior. For anyone who wants a source, here's a video that gets to the juicy bits of what he's saying so you don't have to skim through an hour and a half long podcast, though it also covers the Mayweather situation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJbWh56DnaeZpqM Here's the actual ImPaulsive episode he said this dumb shit on: kzbin.info/www/bejne/habNlniEiMefrdE

I grew up in a loving home with a great mother and father - I spent my formative years in tae kwon do and competed in tournaments - I even met chuck norris at one of them once who shook my hand and told me I had good form. I joined the military later and went my entire military career undefeated in combatives while being 145lbs - easily out weighed by everyone I fought. I didnt have a rough childhood, but through discipline and training I became capable and proficient. By the way, I fought blind the entire time because they dont let you have your glasses in combatives. Respect where its due - Jake did well for being a youtube guy. He took hits many of you in the comments section couldnt withstand. The right man won - he put in the work and by the looks of it he knew he didnt have to guard much. Dont underestimate your opponent.
