I disagree; it's funny because we know Gib for being a pressure-fighter, but his success came from his defense and counter-punches. Dude fought on his back-foot very well. The way he slipped McBrooms uppercuts and hooks to deliver right hands and how he drew Austin into shots on multiple occasions.

@@brandonadam7167 Austin was breathing through his mouth after the second round which is embarrassing in boxing. Even if Gib wasn't landing beautiful counters all night him winning was inevitable. After the second round Gib could have done nothing but walk forward and Austin would have fell to his knees in exhaustion. Gib was the better man, boxer, and athlete that night and no hypotheticals about Austin being in shape will change that.

Iv gotten into fights in the past at school and it could of been with a kid i really disliked but win or lose after the fight is over its simply over and you either shake hands like men do or hold onto that hate and become the real loser. Its a humbling experience when you do lose a fight tho. Doesnt feel good but it feels alot better when you accept that you cannot win them all!

@@unknown_stranger8528 It was close. Plus, clearly, Austin didn't train. Austin was completely annihilating Gib during the first and second rounds. However, he gassed out later in the second round, as evident since he was continuously looking at the clock, awaiting the round to end. I know you're going to say Austin got knocked down five times. However, that was because he clearly couldn't stabilise himself after his second knockdown, which was an equilibrium punch and he was utterly concussed. The referee should've ended the fight at that moment, especially when Austin was told to go back to the corner he was walking in the wrong direction. Honestly, it was a very good fight. Both guys were evenly matched. However, Gib was far more experienced, had more boxing IQ and ultimately, his main selling point: Stamina.

The Part where it got me worried was when Austin knocked down gib in the first round.. that really got me feeling worried about gib and if it's gonna go this way around.. but MAN, Big Gibber is such a different breed of a guy! He got back up all good and then went on to serve a whopping session with austin and getting him KNOCKED OUT for 5-6 times straight!! Just goes to show that gib is just an example of how bad you get hit, we should never give up. This was honestly such an entertaining fight and I'm happy that austin got humbled up 🙌🏽
