I'm sorry that the pro quals didn't go well for you, but looking forward to the recaps! Go is a brutal game that can hurt to review when you've lost, but I can say that I really enjoy hearing your commentary on those games as well. Our losses are often more revealing than our wins.

What a game ! Also as an OGS 11 kyu to hear you say "When I'm a better player"... I know we all see stuff from own perspectives but still, don't doubt yourself too much, you are amazing ! I also like your vibe :)

Thanks a lot for the review ! I really enjoyed your analysis and the narration you made. The end was pretty unexpected to me. And don't worry, every great magician had to start somewhere at some point.

Appreciate the great review! I followed your progress during the pro quals & understand it must have been a tough experience, but on the bright side it's certainly a great learning opportunity as well. Getting 9D online shouldn't necessarily be enough to go pro in the US otherwise our pros would still be too weak relative to other countries. It's nice to know our US pros are successfully pushing deeper into the depths of go mastery beyond basic Fox 9D. No need to be discouraged. It'll be all the more satisfying to make progress and do better in future attempts. In the mean time, really appreciate your channel and following a journey of learning go at a deeper level with you.

That’s alright dude! You’ve got this! The best stories are the ones with comebacks or uprisings or overcoming. No good stories have an easy road to greatness.

I watched the pro qual live and yes it was kinda sus lmao, I had this feeling of "Ye I'm a lil bit behind so ima try some things" into "oh shit it was overplay". But although you lost pretty hard, it wasnt feeling like you were bad at the game, but more like you wanted to prove something. I think you have really good chance to go throught next year, because you have a good style and you're still able to progress. Unlike the other player you had game with, you still lack some maturity, and so your level might skyrocket again. Don't be too much concerned about results, just play & enjoy, results will come eventually

I appreciate the reviews. it helps me a ton as a newer player. I look forward to the reviews on your pro quals, it can be a good lesson on how strong players review and see their games. I wish you the best of luck!

The way F17 stone aji was used in the game is amazing. For a lot of kyu players this is just a dead stone and there is not much you can do to use it anyhow. E17 nobi looks naive and reminds me early beginners who don't know what is alive and what is not :)

44:44 how will white catch the stones if black jumps on 14 line? If you "break the bamboo" i will just connect and gain liberty no?
@telegraphgo3 ай бұрын
In that case doesn't need to kill black outside but attach at b16 connects back and black can't counterattack anything

Hi thanks for the content. I’m a new Go player. Does anyone know what is the best way to play online? Any sites, apps recommendations? Thanks in advance!
@telegraphgo3 ай бұрын
online-go.com is the best place to play! It's totally free and has plenty of resources to learn. You can also try GoQuest, an app on your phone. I also recommend checking out Go Magic on KZbin. Their own site is very good too- I have a sponsorship deal with them, but I only have it and say so because I genuinely believe they have the best resources for beginners, a ton of which is free. They do have paid content as well, but it almost always targets more advanced players. You can use this link to show that I sent you :D gomagic.org/?

17:58 Wasn't it better to start from L7 for White?
@telegraphgo3 ай бұрын
that would be possible, but probably killing the bottom right pretty solidly is a little more valuable than killing the right side loosely- if you kill the right side you don't get to attack it later :D
