Pure steroids you mean. You can't be that heavy while being that small AND that muscular at the same time. Rule of thumb: if you exceed your height in cm -100 by more than 5kg, but still don't look fat, you're 99% on steroids! So for Tyson, anything beyond 83kg would be suspicious. He was even beyond a 100 and looked pretty lean nonetheless! He was 100% on steroids!

I was one brother.. I'm 43.. as a teenager..my uncle's use to go by my cousin's house because this fight was one you had to order..and have pay per view.. Only my older cousin had that .so all my uncle's and friends piled up in the house to watch the pre coverage, and arena entrance of Iron Mike Tyson ..man let me tell you even as a 14 year old when the lights dimmed and Tyson walked in the atmosphere in the building changed as if a Lion or Pitbull was in there.. Tyson had a formidable presence no like any other...to this day no fighter captured the mind and made you awe at the walk to the ring like Tyson... But nothing about his entrance disappointed what he did in the ring...his fights were intense and savage... Though some of his fights lasted only a few rounds he had you thinking out of 2000 men in that arena no one could match him...1 man vs 2000 men..one by one that is...all would get killed by Tyson..dude was something to behold in his prime...yes you have KZbin...and I'm glad you smart enough and able to know and appreciate how good of a fighter Mike Tyson was...all of the old heads today know he filled up seats back in the days..even Donald Trump made a debut in a few of his fights before the fight

I saw some of them on TV when I was very little as I was born in 86 and am 36 years old now. Tyson was the most famous person on the planet for a while, and the most beloved too. He was terrifying, but seemed like such a genuine guy too. You can just tell watching a person whether they are genuine or not, and even with all the stuff Tyson went through I always had a feeling Mike Tyson wasn't a bad guy, even when the whole world hated him in the late 90's/early 2000's era. Now everyone loves him again thank goodness, and its nice to see people appreciate his legacy too.

Iam 48. I was 12 in 86. UK, My dad and bros all followed the boxing . I remember watching Mike doing what he does and being genuinely scared of there being such a ferocious human on the planet. @@casedistorted I was always sad he went to prison. It might have been a message from God, or the universe, but it seemed to have helped him find his center because we was far less angry at the world then. Some may say that's a downfall but, I like to think it was his path to finding himself and not ending up doing something horrible to someone else out of anger. But at the time the world did lose a lot of love for him and he really didn't have a voice. I love seeing the love he has today compared to back then.

Yes he was considering that the heavyweight division was full of cupcakes. His record is full of bums and guys past their prime. Yet when he fights legit fighters he lost. Had he continued to fight the way Cus taught him it might have been different. From his loss to Buster which he got out boxed he was a head hunter and nothing more. It really demonstrates Tyson's freakish level of fitness that throughout the fight he was relentlessly throwing power punches. A single 3 minute round of punching mitts in boxing classes can stuff lots of people and those aren't punches that could knock out a heavyweight. Big punching, time after time after time, for 10 rounds is unbelievably grueling, but Tyson didn't even look puffed. What an incredible athlete.

It stuffs most people. Even moving around for three minutes while keeping one's arms up the entire time and not throwing a single punch, but just making a conscious effort to keep the arms up and moving them from side to side and moving one's head in different directions at the same time is taxing when one hasn't practiced it frequently. A lot of people remember Tyson in his prime for aggression and early knockdowns. But he was a far far more skilful boxer than he’s usually given credit for. Two observations from a boxing novice: 1. Tyson has some sort of ESP that allowed him to dodge on an inhuman level. It's hard to tell Ribalta's power when he doesn't land any solid shots. 2. The amount of abuse Ribalta took is absolutely insane! The liver punches, the uppercuts that would break the average man's neck, total carnage. And he stayed standing. Just incredible endurance there.

If Tyson in his prime had trouble knocking out Ribalta (although it was a TKO) and despite the fact that he hit him with all his power, combinations, and gave it his all in that fight (said by himself) and still Ribalta kept getting up and giving battle, imagine Mike facing Muhammad Ali. Ribalta is not even 20% of what Ali was, and Tyson himself said that he was his toughest opponent. I love Tyson, but if in his prime he couldn't knock out boxers like Tony tucker, James smith, James tillis or Mitch green, there was little he could have done against a boxer as intelligent as Ali and who faced rivals like Liston x2, Frazier and Norton x3, Foreman, Ron Lyle, Shavers, Jerry Quarry etc.

It wasn't ESP. It was training. Tyson went through lengthy sessions in the gym where he did nothing but defensive moves. It looks magical because he was so good. Ali was also great at dodging punches when he was young. As he got older he wasn't so good and started clenching his opponents. You saw what happened with Tyson when he got older and slower. He resorted to dirty tricks.

Sonny Liston would smash him. And this is something even Mike Tyson would admit. Also a prime Lennox Lewis could beat 8 out of 10 times a prime Mike Tyson. Evander Holyfield could also beat Tyson, both in their primes. And of course Vitali Klitschko with his granite chin. I don't even mention prime Muhammad Ali who would make Tyson look slow.

Watching Mike Tyson in his Prime swinging and hitting someone who doesn't just get sent immediately to the Shadow Realm is impressive. Though you can start to see the fear in that man's eyes when he realizes just how fast and accurate Tyson is. This is the scariest and most fearsome boxer on the planet during this time. Tyson is still my favorite, getting to see him live on TV when I was a child was such an amazing experience. The part that makes Tyson so terrifying is he is still hitting just as fast and hard in the late rounds as he was in the first round, with deadly accuracy. Those punches are so fast you barely have time to react too. I really respect Tyson too for what he says at the end of the fight at 7:30. You can tell he has respect for the man for going the distance with him and taking such insane punches. When he finally knocks the guy out in the 10th round the look on his face is just like "finally, jesus"

@@wheelerzg76 Tyson was fast, accurate, and powerful and made himself difficult to hit. Ali was extremely fast, great reflexes, and stayed out of reach. It would be like Ali fighting a super Joe Frazier. I'd put my money on Ali just because of his reach and floats like a butterfly. I don't think Iron Mike could handle that. And more important, Ali was a great man, perhaps the greatest man on the planet in the 20th century. You stay safe in Croatia, Azriel.
