Abu Bakr recommended that the Prophet make al-Qa‘qā‘ ibn Ma‘bad, member of Banu Mujāshi‘, take the position. ‘Umar disagreed, suggesting that the Messenger of Allah instead choose a man named Al-Aqra‘ ibn Hābis.1 Disagreement between the two turned to debate, debating turned to arguing, and soon the two began raising their voices so loud, they drowned out the voice of the Prophet.

I am bit confused: So during the incident of the death of our Messenger Mohammad ibn Abdullah (Salamullah alayheem), while the messenger urgently requested for a pen & paper, how QUIETLY & CALMLY did "others" refused & disobeyed that order! @@whoswho2215 Sahih muslim 1637c. Umar ibn al khattab, clearly raising his voice while the prophet is ill. To the the prophet cried that evening. Neither these so called "Sahabas" let him to write a will which they not go astray. Umar is telling the prophet, the quran is sufficient for us, so he knows more than the prophet now huh? The prophet who has been receiving emails from heaven doesnt know what to write or say huh?
