Approx 25 years ago, I worked at Funcoland which is now Game Stop. Anyway, we sold those GX TVs exclusively at the time.

A nice life lesson for Rick. Less impulse. Less “have to have.” Less focus on buying for contents sake. Also, knowing your prices better for these big items helps.

Obviously not as bad as Flintstones. But I actually had a similar experience at Retro World Expo this year.. Nothing like finding a game at one vendor and missing it somewhere else, then spotting it for 30%+ cheaper after you bought it. Again, no where near as expensive as Flintstones, but I was definitely kicking myself.

Dammmn I used to have that Jordan door poster growing up. Love watching your videos. Super nostaglic here here. I never saw half as much of the toys and games you've shown growing up in my little town in Nz but would see all the ads in magazines and comics etc.

I played romance of the three kingdoms with my best friend every weekend in 6th grade, we'd save our allouancees and buy snacks and soda and rent it for 2 days and just play all weekend long until we had to return it. We would switch koei games every month, We loved those kinds of games. Uncharted waters, airbiz, any kind of simulation game. Great memories. If I'd known what they would be worth now I woulda never returned them! lol

Ran into you at Retropalooza because I live in Fort Worth. Been to your shop once but usually I overnight in XNA so I’m always at Vintage Stock. My father knows how crazy I am about vintage and retro… thing is I never knew about this shop and he goes to Silk City Coffee daily. At the very first second of the video the Gulf Station is shown the house is just up the hill and behind it. I’ve got a call to make, so disappointed.

I watched a Sharmelon vid the other day where she was clearing out an old house she bought in Japan, and there was what looked to be a vintage Superman bin or umbrella stand. From the look of it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was from the 60's or even earlier.
