The first time I saw this episode, the last 5 minutes left me in awe at how beautifully shot, staged, and edited that scene was. In terms of needle drops, Tarantino would have been impressed. Jacob Tierney is an incredible director.

I fully agree with @whyyogamatters I loved Rosie and Wayne at first but there's nothing kindling there or even progression. With Marie there was a new chapter and challenge for Wayne.

God what a scene, what I love so much about it is just the chaos around Wayne. A man made to fight, chore, and drink is so smitten by a woman, he walks through hell just to even attempt to say hello to the girl of his dreams. Uncle Eddie would be proud

One thing not often mentioned when talking about Letterkenny is their ability to capture the FEELS.... this episode was SO real.. the lighting, the slow down when Wayne sees her... it really captures that ‘love at first sight’ feeling, without feeling or looking corny at all, it’s just so REAL

Just finished season 12 finale (😢) and came back to this scene, which I think is the high point of the series. My favorite part about this scene is that Wayne’s friends make it so he doesn’t have to fight. It’s this beautiful “we got you bro” comraderie moment where they rally around the guy who fights for everyone else.

Now, let met be clear, Québec's television is amazing (Je suis Québécois). They make diamonds out of absolutely no budgets. But this scene, this is something else. I don’t think any Québec show would ever try to mix such an iconic song from Harmonium with a bar fight. It’s crazy that this level of creativity with Quebec’s culture comes from an anglo-canadian show, but it sure is appreciated. Just goes to show that the Keeso crew has something truly amazing going on. To them, both Ontario’s, Canada’s, Quebec’s and First Nations cultures can actually be blended together to some extent. You can also see it in Shoresy, where they don’t even seem to care if the character speaks in French or English. Oh and, for any hockey fans, Marie-Fred’s brother plays Jean Béliveau in another French series, called Béliveau. So Letterkenny just got hockey royalty!

To me, this was the start of the final ascent for the show. They peaked with the engagement and have been winding it down since. I know Magalie Levine Blondeau had some other acting commitments and whatnot, but her cheating was what started the end. I wish they found another way (it repeated the start of the show). That’s when the show moved away from creating these feelings in scenes, episodes, and seasons, to being about the gags. I liked Rosie the first go around, but she’s become a Katie II-they could have developed their relationship better. I’m hoping Wayne ends the series alone, again, but healthier (grown) about it.

I get what you mean. I wouldn't be surprised if Jared and Jacob realized last season was a stinker. This season is one of two things - a refresh of what it was like at the beginning (quirky camera angles, more butt clenching), or they had a look at it and realized, we're done. Regardless, they've given us comedy, and they've proven no matter anyone's differences (race, gender, sexual, etc.) everyone is a friend (except fuckin' degens), and everyone can get along.
