So I used to watch your videos way back when... My ex and I were planning on hitting the road together with our dog but now he's my ex, and I'm on the road. I stopped watching your videos for a while because I hated the reminder of an idea I fell in love with "our dog, us, and our bus." Slowly I started watching again, and often I get emotional watching your videos, but now I'm so happy to be on the road, on my own. The "good" stuff, the "bad" stuff... It's all inspiration. Sending you all love. Loved seeing Kamp in action, and I'm going to start playing French music while I cook.

If you don't communicate well, you are doomed. A good lay is basically a bandaid. If you don't open up, he will resent you. If, for some reason, you feel like you can't talk to him you are with the wrong person. I can see on your face that you are a stubborn person, but, you don't want people to know that. You need to change that. Being shut out sucks.

Your brutal honesty in this video, and the thoughtfull air you show is very appreciated and inspiring. My partner and I have for a while until recently actively tried to avoid anything that could remotely start a fight. This was from fear that any fight, regardless of what started it, would lead to us seperating. And it really started to damage our relationship and limit conversation. It came to an explosive bulkhead and we concluded that fights are going to happen, it comes with the territory when sharing you're life with someone. And this knowledge has made us more honest with each other, and given us a stronger connection. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you and Barron ,while you two sometimes walk alone as you said , enjoy many many more walks together in the future under the sun.

Talk is good. Fights begin with unmet expectations. When our expectations of ourselves or others are not met, we tend to feel frustrated. Too much frustration, if not dealt with earlier enough, can escalate into anger and erupt into a fight. To alleviate the stress of unmet expectations, it’s important to evaluate our expectations and adjust them to reality. We can decide either to live with the reality or to offer opportunities (or suggestions) to adjust the reality and grow together.

To fight is not healthy. To disagree is. People need to learn the difference! & how to handle those disagreements before they end up like our neighbors who were "passionate people" who "fought until the cops came out", then "passionately made up", once or twice a month (& was proud of it), until one of them took a bat to the other's head! But they swore it was "healthy & normal"!

We’ve been in our RV just over two years and together for five - we have becomes each other’s safe space through and through for this reason alone but it was hard to get here and we know we will never escape disagreements but there are so many constructive ways to handle them! Hi guys! my first comment here. I just had to say how much we love your videos. I lived in Florida (Yuk) & worked all the time to keep a certain life style. But when my little sister took her own life in 2010 I bought a camper & left everything. I moved across the country to Ca. Then moved to WA State. I now live happily in the N. Cascade Mountains in a tiny little town. I now live on less that $1000 a month selling things I make online. I also do caregiving to shut-ins. I have a partner now, Holly, who is an absolute miracle. Keep doing what you do so well. Much love & good energy, you give us hope. Sabrina Cannell, fellow planet earth person. :-)

I think so. The anniversary of her passing was just 2 days ago in fact. She was an amazing person! (her name was Donna Kaye 40 yrs) She could never understand how people can be so cold & uncaring to one another. in the end I think she was just broken hearted. she jumped from a 5th floor window in a Marriott hotel in Portland Or. as I was on the phone with her trying to talk her out of it. She was an artist, poet & musician & yes, I seriously believe that she led me to Holly. Holly is so much like her it almost spooky. (but wonderful) The universe is a odd place. Miraculous but odd. Thanks for listening, Sabrina.

@@427bk hi...thank you for sharing this so personal story of Donna. It is never easy to comprehend why she took the final step. Remember, there is nothing you could of said/did to stop her. Once someone decides to end their suffering, as she obviously had a plan, no one can deter the action, unfortunately. Anniversary's are difficult for those of us left behind but once again you have concentrated on her gifts & what she brought & gave of herself. This world we live in today is hard on those who truly care for the others who are hurt/killed for no apparent reason. She, like many, cannot come to gripes w/ the evil of the human spirit & her caring was felt so deeply. Know she is w/ you. Your guardian angel. 😇 Blessings

I have been in a relationship that we spent 95 percent of our lives together. As beautiful as that is to be in that deep of love to even want to, it is at times the hardest to do . Personalities mixed into to such a tight relationship can add to the rifts. It is important to tackle it head on and not by pass what is happening and there is so much work in a pair of peoples lives that you have to stop and talk it out. Thank you for the peek in to your hard moments but also ty for sharing so much more all the time . It's good to be transparent but even healthier to keep some of the intimate things for you and him private. Beautiful couples talk on how to keep it strong .

Amen! No matter how bad the disagreement, always do everything you can to not go to bed angry. I've practiced this for years now. When I was young I read this verse and ignored it. I would go to bed mad at family alot. But as I got older I started trying to see if it really made a difference like the elders would say. It really does. Life as a whole is more peaceful. Yes I've said I was sorry before while still believing I was right but the effort toward making peace made it worth it. It opened the door to communicate and I was then able to explain my point of view calmly and they were more open to listen in a reasonable rational way. And vise versa. So yes I agree 100%! Don't go to bed angry.

Keeping it real. Understand - human. Sometimes I realize were here alone, came into this world solo and will exit solo. Yet also realize was born loved by others and enjoy being loved along the way. Now 65 still find in my real time alone, yes this journey called life is often alone in thought, space and time. Relationships are work and worthy of the effort for love is special. We all need space yet yearn for companionship. Be safe and remember "This" above all: to thine own self be true."

Babies that are not held & touched regularly in the first few months die!- really! There is precedence (preemies were dieing in a ward, but one bed had a significantly higher survival rate, because the janitor would mop up to the last bed, stop, & hold/play with whoever was in that bed before moving on)! Some shrinks have couples hold hands while they try to talk something out. The first one to let go is the one hurting the relationship, because it is a subconscious reflex to pull away from someone you don't want to cooperate with. Also, if you've spent time away from a loved one, laying next to each other literally brings your heart beats back into unison. This helps reset each other!

Hi...I have never subscribed to the saying, "we come into this world alone & leave alone". There are some souls who do sadly depart alone. We enter w/ our mothers & hopefully, our fathers along w/ the doctor & nurses & when we depart, our loved are there to send us off to our next journey. This is my perspective & I've ushered into life 2 daughters & held many a hand of love & peace sending my loved ones off onto their journey. Blessings

Well all I can say is ...been married 40 years . I don’t argue ..when ya argue ya say hurtful things ya can never take back . Much easier to give each other a lil space , regroup and realize life’s too short for arguments. Love is the key to your hearts , use it .

Packing up to move or unpacking can be very stressful and it is understandable that ppl get 'moody'. Some people may not understand the full scope of what that entails and just assume you close the door and hook up and pull away. The good part is you know how to diffuse and talk about it and life goes on.

I love when you show little flashes of vulnerability in your videos. It reminds us that you and Barron are human just like us. Moving and travelling can be stressful at times and emotions can run high. These flashes don’t drag down or take over the videos vibes they just show how strong you two are. I like the idea of walking to get clarity during a fight. I really like that Nietzsche quote “ All truly great thoughts are conceived while walking”. It’s something I did a lot when I was a teenager living on farm in a forested area. I felt like I always found clarity and resolution walking in nature. Sending positive vibes and looking forward to watching the seasons change in your video ( but not too soon).❤️🚶‍♀️

So beautiful Elsa. You ARE very articulate and the segment on fighting was raw and loving. Well done. And boy was I surprised to see DRAWERS! Too true, my first thought was the weight. Man, that’s why fiberglass was created. But what challenge that would be! Much love to you and Barron.

Also, I’m sorry that you guys had a fight. Being married myself for 21 years to a former marine (retired after 20 years) I can tell you that it does happen and it’s lovely that you are posting real life. Make your way over to Northwest Arkansas and bring Raw Beauty and Marie Bits N Clips with you and we can have an amazing adventure at one of the many state parks here!!!

Every relationship has their rocky times and what's a relationship without an argument, disagreement, or fight? My boyfriend and I have learned a lot from each other through our fights in the past, now, we have disagreements. Sometimes, we fight over the smallest things but we learned that if we want this to work, we have to communicate. With that, you are absolutely right about it making a relationship stronger depending on how it is handled and if it handled with unharmful intentions.

Btw, I would give anything to be able to journal well. I think you might do everything well, Elsa. Barron, too. Take care and never lose sight of your bliss.

Again such serendipitous timing for you to post. Of course we respect you as real people. It's okay to romanticize your life and present the best parts to us. But when you share those raw real moments and don't hold back the reality that makes us respect you more if anything. A recent bout of spats between my love and I prompted me to ask my friend her advice as she's been with her partner for 10 years and she said this: Don't say anything hateful even when you're fighting. Check your ego in arguments and truly empathize with your partner, see their point of view. Do small things often just to make them smile. Learn to let go of who they should be, because they will keep changing and growing, so let yourself fall in love with the new version all the time. The most beautiful piece of advice I will treasure forever. ❤️ Be well!!!

Moving day is difficult for us too and we’ve been married 49 years! Been full time in our Casita for almost 3 years and we both are so happy that we’ve had this time. I cannot watch him pack up or set up! Ha! If I do it makes me crazy 😝So #1 don’t watch #2 laugh together when it’s over #3 talk about what worked and what didn’t. EVERYONE ARGUES. The glue that holds our marriage together is commitment and love, history and future, memories made and making memories ❤️
