But man the Lannister's.... they're so awful, even for AoT standards 😭 Plus Jamie wasn't a child when hell came knocking, and he wasn't born as a slave weapon, he's nobility. This is off-topic from this episode specifically but before I forget: There's the episode in S4 part 2 I believe where we see young Ymir's backstory, of how she's been outlawed after freeing the pigs and then hunted down, becoming the Founder and so on. In German, one of the words for "outlawed" is "vogelfrei", which if translated literally means "bird free / free as a bird". Since AoT's entire story revolves around a desperate struggle for freedom and makes _heavy_ usage of bird symbolism, I thought maybe this is a nice fun fact to mention. It _might_ be deliberate and have a meaning, or it's nothing and I'm just insane. So I thought it'd fit right in with this series :) Thanks for these videos!

@QprahАй бұрын
19:16 I think its very clever and interesting how Colt and Reiner both attempt to do the same thing that Marcel did for Porco, to each of their own younger sibling/cousin. Reiner is attempting to protect Gabi by pushing Falco, while Colt is trying to protect Falco by pushing Gabi. They both do this a few times and in different ways, but there is always this subtle layer of throwing the other under the bus in a desperate attempt to protect their own. The ghoulish part is when Gabi and Reiner's parents are eating dinner together and there is no sense of preservation for Gabi in the room anymore, because they've all seemingly accepted that they are going to sacrifice her to save themselves.

The weirdly good animation near the beginning of the episode looks that way because of an animation technique called "rotoscoping". It's basically when animators record a video of people doing the actions in the animation and then use that video as reference for the drawn animation. This the video is often traced with straight ahead animation (each frame is drawn one at a time in order) which gives it a uncanny realistic motion. Normally, in anime the main poses of the action are all drawn first as key frames and then the in between frames are drawn last which makes it feel more smooth and 'anime-like'. Hope that explains why the animation may look uncanny.

Nah, I don't care of other opinion other than "Rainer is an asshole". I may understand that he was brainwashed, traumatized since a kid for a war that he doesn't belong to, and that he chose to carry a dangerous mission that lasted let's say half his life (which in titan years is like 13 years to live. However he with Bertold spent time terrorizing Paradise Island, while faking being friends with people they found. The spent years together, talking, eating, sleeping, share moments etc. and you both massacred people devouring with your ugly giant experiments innocent people of all ages? This is sick at many unforgivable levels.

One of my biggest grievances about the series is why Reiner got this treatment to be sympathized with and not Bertholdt. It would have been so much different if Reiner got chomped and not Bertholdt. @jayteebluesАй бұрын
@@woods4530 I understand. Reiner is one of my favorite characters. But I enjoy and sympathize with Burrito as well. I’m an introvert and I love that B is written as one too (IMO). Also, leaders get so much attention. But followers rarely get it and B is a follower. But leaders must have followers who are watching and learning, who hold your secrets, and reinforce you, who keep their eye on the vision, and are willing to ride or die with you. Bertholdt exceeds expectations in that area. I absolutely loved when they peaked his arc and he knew Reiner needed him to really show up in leadership. He went balls out and took the helm with gusto and I loved him for it! He didn’t punk out or run! But he remains so likeable and understandable. He’s the perfect quiet sidekick who gets a great arc. His ending really had to happen because ARMEN had to get the collossal and Reiner’s arc wasn’t finished. RIP to Bertholdt!! The duo was great!

24:33 I think the reason why Eren put his arm band in the wrong arm was because he’s seen the whole thing already when he was able to look into his memories from the future. Even if he doesn’t know what’s the significance of it, now we know that everything that’s happening has already happened so he can’t just change it otherwise it wouldn’t had happened and he wouldn’t had seen it and therefor he wouldn’t have done it… and so on.

For those who don't know, the expressive animation is a product of rotoscoping; basically tracing a real life video. It's interesting having it used like this because it's normally done for animating people playing instruments.

@@Koroto a trick you can use to identify rotoscoping is to look at the faces of the people. You can see duplicate frames on the faces while the body is moving. This is because the face is time consuming to map on to the video so it's just copied over to the next frame.
@KorotoАй бұрын
Ohh, that's interesting, never noticed that (this information will haunt me forever). I obviously have 0 background in art/animation, so I usually just go off vibes. I'm pretty sure Pieck's problems needing to re-learn how to walk in human form after staying as the Cart for months at a time has less to do with any effects on her body and more the fact the Cart is a quadruped. So it's not that there's any effect on her physical body, it's more she needs to re-learn how to walk on two legs instead of four after spending months walking on four legs and adapting to walking like that as the Cart.
@KorotoАй бұрын
Poor phrasing on my part I guess, but yeah, that's what I meant 😄 Having to adapt to the new form (and then adapt back) is what I would call an "effect" of the titan, even if it doesn't to directly alter her body.

I think all shifters have roughly the same base stamina, Cart didn't have extra stamina, it just costs very little in cart form, Eren using warhammer power also costs a lot of his stamina, so he didn't transform multiple times when facing against Reiner and Porco. So if Eren ate Cart, chances are he might get access to a "high efficiency" mode that tunes down his strength but allows him to operate longer.
