With pre-production phase 1 starting now, they still have to cast, script, film, test screen, possible reshoots and a crap ton of visual and practical effects. Either super duper late 2023 or early 2024. 2025 is likely as well because this show keeps a bigger and bigger budget.

They are still finishing the script for Season 5 around this time. Filiming will be around 2023-2024 cause they're budget is at an all time high for Season 5. We might expect it at July 2024-February 2025.

I was thinking late 2023 to early 2024 since they teased a timeskip I speculate that Season 5 will take place during the Christmas season of 1989 with the final episode taking place on New Years Eve and the ending at midnight with the end of the 80s symbolizing the end of the show.

I don't think it'll be 2 years. They do have an issue with the characters getting older, so the quicker they film the better because some characters will look way too different between seasons if they wait too long. The only reason we had to wait so long for season 4 is because covid restrictions halted their filming for a year. If you take a year and a few months away from the time that it took to release....then it actually took about a year and a half for them to film and edit this season.

I’ve always wanted to watch stranger things but my parents had never let me cause I was really young. I just started watching this year. Like less than a month ago. I had watched all 4 seasons and has like a 2 day wait for volume 2 to come out. So I’ve never had to wait for it cause it was basically all already there. Volume 2 was literally a 2 day wait for me. So this will be so hard for me to wait that long 😭

Well if you think about it it probably will take a looong time because season 4 episodes have been atleast an hour long and ep 9 was 2 and a half hours long so if you add all lf that up, season 4 would be more than 10 hours long. So imagine how long that would have taken to film. On top of that there is also the editing that needs to be done. So all we could do is be patient
