Plague of locusts - "Reform"? OK, St Caesarius of Arles mentioned locusts meaning bad kings. Henry VIII, Edward VI, James VI & I ... Gustavus Wasa, Eric XIV, "Charles IX", "Gustavus II Adolphus" (both usurping King Sigismund's throne btw) ... Prince Elector of Saxony of course as well as von Hutten ... you bet the Reformation, or "Reform" as it's called in France, showed bad kings, so that being locusts ... just I can't deny there were more locusts after it, like Robespierre or Lenin. I think Apocalypse 19 had a preview of upcoming events in WW-I, up to end of White Terror in Budapest. Verse 19 corresponds to Béla Kun's and some others' position in 1919, verses 20, 21 to his elimination with that of his henchmen in White Terror, which started late 1919 and continued into 1921, after obviously Red Terror under Kun. And "angel standing in the sun" comes in verse 17, Solar miracle of Fatima with a dancing sun was 1917.

ROCOR is not yet united with the other churches. They see themselves as pure and not giving in to the modern links. They if in Monasteries and/or seminaries they stand during worship which is at least 2 1/2 hours and very few spots to sit. Much is done with candles and Icons and the other older ways. They do not want to modernize and often use their native language during Worship. So they feel the other denominations are not right as they have modernized and fallen away. That is the difference yet. Of course, some Protestant denominations think themselves right, and others wrong.

If we live in end times, then we must discern what happens during those times and after them. If there are indicators we live in the age described in the Apocalypse, then we must discern where we are at exactly, at what stage, and what comes next. That kingdom of God is already established on earth, albeit almost invisible, is true. (The parable of mustard seed help understand it). But it is also true that devil too resides on earth, and is violent beyond measure. It is also true that God has passed a sentence on devil and his rule "..he who rules this world has had sentence passed on him already." → John 16:11 Note that Christ says "he who rules this world" when speaking of devil, but then, in the Apocalypse, "I heard ... the noise of a great multitude, like the noise of water in flood, or the noise of deep thunder, as they cried out, Alleluia, the Lord our God, the Almighty, has claimed his kingdom;" - Apocalypse 19:6 The parable of a steward minding the kingdom until his Master comes is more apt in this case. Kingdom is there, but the Master is not yet come to rid the kingdom (or his wheat field - another parable) of those who will not have Him as king.

We have been living through the prophesied events in 2 Thes 2:3-12 and the mystery of the iniquity (2 Thes 2:7) -- that's why we have had two popes (one True -- Benedict XVI; and the other false) and great apostasy (2 Thes 2:3) in the Church. With the passing of Benedict XVI, the restrainer has been removed and, therefore, the antichrist will soon appear in public (2 Thes 2:7-8), who will be the head of the one world religion, followed by schism, banning of the daily Sacrifice of the Mass (Daniel 12:11), abomination of desolation (Matt 24:15), and cruelest persecutions of the Church (Rev 12:17, 13:10) for 3.5 years (Daniel 12:11-12, Rev 12:14). But God will protect His Church as promised in Matt 16:18, "the gates of Hell shall not prevail against Her," and His faithful remnant (Ps 91). Catechism #675 and 677 state that, before the second coming of Christ, the Church MUST follow Her Lord to Calvary, Death, and Resurrection for purification and renewal of the Church and world, and salvation of souls. This Dogma will be fulfilled soon.

Correction: Russia has been consecrated on 3/25/1984. Pope John Paul II, "united with all the pastors of the Church in a particular bond whereby we constitute a body and a college," consecrates "the whole world, especially the peoples for which by reason of their situation you have particular love and solicitude." Both the Pope and Sr. Lucia initially seemed uncertain that the consecration has been fulfilled, but shortly thereafter Sr. Lucia tells the papal nuncio to Portugal that the Consecration is fulfilled.
