Why in all that's fair did Mogilny get screwed again??!! He was first Russian to take the risk to himself and his family to join the NHL. 76 goals in a season, over 1000 points for his career, won a Stanley Cup, was a +81 for his career, 473 goals, over a point a game. WTF!

A diehard Leaf fan since 67 and I can tell you if Marner starts the season, I can't stomach the BS anymore. Not that I have any dislike for him he's a great player but this team has this big 4 thing going on and without decent cap space to add some top 3 defense it will just be more of the same.

The problem is not the cap space. The problem is that there are not any top 3 defenceman that are available or that would want to play in Canada. So if the team unloads an elite player, then cannot find any good defencemen, the team will have really weakened itself. Very bad situation.

After signing tanev for his long year contract, I’m hearing Brad is not done. he willing on getting more defence and they’re planning on maybe getting zadorov and one more. I don’t think 18 million. Is enough to sign those three guys and to fill the Ford group.

I remember Canada vs Germany at the 2010 Olympics. Weber blew one right THROUGH the net. I had a perfect seat for it and knew it was a goal but it took a few seconds for the refs to catch up. That guy had a bomb from the point!

Looks like Mitch plans just to play out his contract and leave after next season - to another team that has a real chance of playoff success. 😀

Marner's a child, he'll continue his tantrum, and do everything he can to screw the Leafs over. Who can forget his 2019 holdout, where Leafs got all messed up wondering if he was going to sign, and were frozen on making other roster moves etc. He thinks he can pull the same type of stunt again, hold his ground, and get an extension at some point next season. What he's missing is how unpopular he is now, 75% of Leaf Nation already want him gone. Wait until next month where Leafs can't do much for free agents because Marner is jerking them around.

I think Mitch trade will happen after his bonus is paid on July 1. So just maybe the trade is already done just waiting for that to be paid.

@@miketomkins1136 I think he will play the season and either be offered an extension or they lose him and get nothing back. That is what Nylander did. And he was offered an extension, albeit a bit high. Marner has been a better player than Nylander so we will see what happens.Also, if he has his NMC bought out by the Leafs, that could also be a cap hit. There has to be some monetary benefit for giving up his NMC. Maybe $2 or 3 million more.

@@johnsummerhill8323 we can’t do this again like really we need to much money for defense goalie and other forwards that are UFA’s yes the cap is going up but that money already gone with Matthews and Willy. He can’t walk for nothing like all the others Hyman Brown Bunting to name a few

I feel sorry for the leafs and the fans. Nobody is diving into your gms past. He let blake wheeler walk for nothing. He signed the most wanted #1 goalie then blew up his team and traded his core for not much and degraded the flames for at least 6 plus years depending on their gm. Ive watch the leafs gm have 22 mil in cap, knowing he needed top 4 d. His answer...klingberg,domi,bertuzzi was his answer. If i recall, muzzin,murray,klingberg was on LTIR. What was Treliving's answer? Im going to give them a plethora of 3rd pairing dmen playing minutes they shouldn't be. Im going give you a few 7th dmen and now i expect you to do something in the playoffs. Now the media is driving the bus to get marner out of town. Correct me if im wrong, but doesn't marner lead the team in playoff points?? So if marner failed, then why not blame the rest too. Blaming your player with the most playoff points is insane!!! Tavares degraded so much he became an 11mill 3rd line center towards tge end of year. Treliving is the worst gm in the league, checkout his track record. The leafs will make fringe deals or signings and basically will be running it back.

Think you missed the point here pal. My issue with the check mark isn’t the price, it’s the fact that anyone can buy one now. It used to give you credibility, now it just means you spent $8 a month to have one. Pointless.
