My MIL died this past August. My husband and I were at her retirement apartment, going through her things. I had the door to the hall open so I could put stuff out that was going to the rummage sale. MIL loved tchochkes, and had about a dozen-and-a-half decorative birdhouses. As I was packing them up, I put on Birdhouse In Your Soul. Then KZbin did what KZbin does, and on came this song.
