3:02:50 also HOLD the melee button for a Heavy Melee attack, they're super satisfying and deal a good chunk of damage, a heavy melee can usually one shot most basic troops. They don't have a secondary key binding cuz a light and heavy both use the same input 3:13:00 So Pull deals almost zero damage to armor, barriers or shields, it does a little and can stagger foot troops but in general you're better off shooting them until they're HP is red then u can use Pull to immobilize them. Pull can only work as a combo starter on someone it's lifted, same goes for Singularity, and Stasis. Warp can work as a combo starter on Armored targets but it will only explode for Biotic detonator powers, Garrus' Overload also works as a combo starter for what's called a Tech Burst. The detonator powers your Shepard has are Charge, Nova, and Shockwave, for Primers you have Pull, Incendiary Ammo, and Cryo Ammo. Liara can Prime biotic explosions with Singularity, Stasis, and Warp, she can detonate combos with Warp. Garrus can Prime with Overload and Detonate with Concussive Shot, Proximity Mine, and Overload but Biotics can only detonate with Biotics so Garrus won't be exploding one of Liara's Singularities

2:57:00 Based off what I can find optimal Liara build is to get Pure Biotic, Warp, and Stasis to level 3, Singularity to Level 5, max Pure Biotic first, then Stasis, then Warp and Singularity with Warp Ammo being the last thing to throw points in. More details about her powers below. For Liara since you have ammo powers yourself it's best to invest minimal points in her Warp Ammo since she generally uses weaker guns anyway, if u were an Engineer or Adept getting Squad Warp Ammo could be useful. Maxing out Liara's passive Pure Biotic is a good idea because it dramatically reduces the cooldown of her powers and the rank 6 evolution Squad Bonus gives you a 10% reduced cooldown on your Biotic powers as well as any Biotic powers your 3rd Squad member might have too or u can get Singularity Recharge which drops the cooldown on her Singularity to be equal to Shepard's (which is like 4-5 seconds), meaning she can spam it out like crazy to lock up entire rooms of enemies with ease. Warp is even more useful than in ME2, it deals up front damage and leaves a lingering effect on enemies that weakens their armor and you can detonate this lingering effect for a Biotic explosion using Charge, Nova, or Shockwave plus Warp can detonate combos too so if u cast it on someone you've set on fire with your Incendiary Ammo, they'll trigger a fire explosion AND be primed for a Biotic explosion at the same time. Stasis is a lot more useful in ME3 since they changed it so enemies can be damaged while in Stasis now, the only catch is the freeze effect ends early if enemies take enough damage and there's an evolution called Bubble at rank 6 which is very useful because it makes Stasis into a second Singularity basically (it makes Stasis drop a bubble on your targeted enemy that can trap extra targets). Singularity is as amazing a power as ever, just avoid the Detonate evolution at Rank 6, it sounds good on paper but it only explodes when the Singularity expires on it's own, if Liara casts another singularity the old one expires without exploding.

Those atrium fights in Grissom Academy are honestly some of the hardest in the game because you go into it pretty low level, so dont feel bad everybody has felt the pain in there. One tip I'll give as a vanguard is to combo your charge a bit more. Spamming charge->nova is a vanguard classic and is OP when you have quick recharge. Also charge->shotgun to the face->melee to finish off is another good one. You can get creative with it if you keep a really quick recharge speed. It can be really usefull to "pause" the action by bringing up the power wheel before you start to charge so you can evaluate your positioning and plan your next charge.

3:25:05 LOL when u were rolling all over the place u must have caused FPS drops cuz your shield started to regenerate that's kinda hilarious 3:30:00 so Cerberus Engineers drop turrets and repair Atlas mechs and their Turrets. The thing that was giving you trouble here (besides the never ending enemies) was Shield Pylons, u can tell they're around cuz they make that shimmer sound when someone gets in their radius. The pylons regenerate enemy shields until you destroy them or until you destroy the generators that are powering the pylons Tip for fighting Cerberus: Liara's Stasis can freeze enemies that don't have armor like Engineers or Centurions so they can't fight back (or lay down turrets), and also prime them for a Biotic explosion. It won't work on Guardians though unless you target their back or get the Bubble evolution 4:21:36 BEWARE using that console costs more money than it does to buy stuff at the actual store, they increase the price by 10% as a convenience fee when purchased at that terminal.

General rule of thumb: if you want to avoid missions expiring on you try to clear as many of your non-Priority mission BEFORE going on to the next Priority one. Priority missions advance the story and can do stuff like close off planets which can block you from going there again to do side quests. The only exception is Priority: Eden Prime which I recommend doing early, I generally do it before even doing Priority: Palavan because it's a DLC mission that doesn't advance the main plot but does add to the plot

So for the scanner every time you pulse it increases the Reaper alertness bar, when it's maxed out the Reapers will show up next time u pulse. once u hear that BZZZZZ noise they'll be in the star system and will chase u, if they catch u its an instant game over. Once the Reapers appear in a sector the only way to get them to leave is to do a mission somewhere else which will reset that sector, if u go back to that sector without doing a mission the Reapers will already be there waiting for you. The Reapers aren't in every star system, some sectors you can scan as much as you want without calling the Reapers but after you do another Priority mission things can change and the Reapers can invade new star systems

Just remember that Priority missions should be done last because they will unlock more star systems and advance the story resulting in the loss of certain quests. In the book Mass Effect: Revelation (which was written by the writer who wrote the scripts for ME1 and ME2, Drew Karpyshyn), it's revealed that Kaylee Sanders and David Anderson had a budding romance before Saren ruined Anderson's chance to become a Spectre. I'm gonna say a couple things here that are kinda spoilers but because of the things you did in this playthrough you won't see them in your gameplay: I'm glad to see that you did this mission now, because if you don't do this mission early enough Jack gets turned into a Cerberus enemy and you end up encountering her later in the game and you have to kill her. (This isn't the only former squadmate this can happen to.) Also, depending on which order you pick your squadmates for this mission (not sure the exact formula the game uses to determine who's in the cutscene but I think it's whoever you've spent the most time with on missions out of the squadmates you pick), there's a special dialog when you first meet Jack. If Liara is in the cutscene, she says "I'd forgotten how angry she was", Jack will respond with "Whereas I barely remember you at all, Blue", and Liara will tell Jack her real first name in response. Fun side note: the voice actress for Jack, Courtenay Taylor, is also the voice actress of the female protagonist in Fallout 4, who is affectionately referred to as "Blue" by Piper. (I play way too many video games, lol... I've also played the Mass Effect trilogy like, 15 times or so.)

fast forward to thumbnail, not there yet, hope discovered: quiz with biotic use: dealing with nature of bitotic specific, but teaching power combo. I have not got further with Grissom, let's see who the instructor is, but for him learn from the instructor. Power combos is fincky, but once you understand how it works, it makes sense: go power combining. ME2 was too subtle on it, but for us, for me a few years later my first time playing ME trilogy, ME3MP taught how useful power combos. Although not direct, your 3 hr 5 min mark sets it up, roughly. In this example, once shield is down due to guns, health shows up, singularity and then warp -- biotic explosion. Although no shields/barriers on an, if evolutioned right shockwave on an only health enemy, aka mook, shockwave can behave as either a primer OR a detonator. Forgot the difficulty you're at, but at higher levels, guns get nerfed, but power combos tend their own where basically team work comes in handy. Still slower, but more powerful than guns. It is finicky, but that time stamp is a heads up how ME3 works with powers.

Sometimes you have to make hard choices. In this case, the Paragon interrupt was to save Bau, who is being murdered right in front of you. The alternative would be to leave Bau to die while you stopped the virus. So, Bau lives, but the Reapers conquer Kahje, and the hanar and drell species are likely doomed to extinction.
