When you are the only Hindi-speaking penalist on a Bengali channel

Republic Bangla studio in Kolkata. This was last year. Chandrachur Ghose and I took part in two discussions on the channel. I can understand Bengali to an extent. I spoke in Hindi. The anchor asked me questions in Bengali.

😁 we should learn bengali. Our grand parents used to sing chant Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram Patita Pavan Sita Ram which has more or less same.lyrics as we move across states. I wonder what bengali version sounded like. Well before gandhiji adopted this song people would gather for ram katha at one place and this continued till late 80's and start of 90's hardly seen.
