Do you think Squidward tortures himself by watching these really good clarinet players? Kind of like how guitarists will watch absolute shredding and then get depressed at their lack of skill 😂

Brilliant transcription! I think the first two phrases on the Em6 and B7 are crotchet triplets though. Fantastic stuff.

By "perfect" you mean musically perfect not metronomic perfect. He plays with a great balance of vulnerability, confidence in the group and willing to create tension to connect with the listener. Thank you for sharing.

thanks mr. pendantic, glad you could be here
@aaronwoods6534Ай бұрын
I had to look it up …Pedantic is an insulting word used to describe someone who annoys others by correcting small errors, caring too much about minor details, or emphasizing their own expertise especially in some narrow or boring subject matter. I didn’t intend it if it was. What I meant was that there is more than perfect time - he swings!

At bars 2 and 4, shouldn't those be quarter note triplets? There's a few other moments here where it feels like quarter note triplets make way more sense in terms of notational accuracy than doing two eighths, a rest, and an eighth in a swing feel
@TheSteelDialgaАй бұрын
yeppp, he can definitely play notes. lots of notes

I think it’s annoying no melody.
@TracksWithDaxАй бұрын
lol it's improvisation, the recording probably has the melody at the start and end as is customary in small group jazz/jamming
