Putting an intangible block on the outside of a curve encourages accidental discovery. Anyone who skids into the wall by taking the corner too fast will find it by accident.

Here's an idea for a cheese track, no idea how feasable it is. Do the oversized fan blowing up thing to get moon gravity and hide a second oversized fan inside the first one that blows hard enough to drive upsidedown but stop at the the track. The topside would make you dodge things and avoid getting too much air and overshooting the track, but the underside would be smooth sailing. You could even put down checkpoints and leave photomode on because it would look completely normal if you didn't know that there was a second set of fans that let you ride the upsidedown. You'd want moon gravity fans so nobody would question the fan wibbles below the track.
