So if the control of Clouldcastle back to opponent, the equip spell no longer got negated then it became a loop. After resolve the effect, the monster equipped forced to be destroyed by game mechanics while the controll of Cloudcastle determined is the opponent; and that why Cursed Bill burning my opponent instead of me.

Cyber Phoenix negates targeting of machine monsters, equip spells target (Mask of Remnants is treated as an equip spell by Des Guardias' effect), thus creating an infinite loop. The game itself removes the problem card (Cloud Castle in this case), and when that was destroyed by the game, the remaining equip spells burned the controller for 3000 damage each

The vast majority of them just picked whatever the tier list said was best, watched a guide on how to play, and most even copied their decks. And their gameplay reflects that. Technically this is in the real rules where creating an infinite loop just destroys the card ("the card" being determined by the judge).

Master Duel isn't smart enough to figure out how to solve these problems, so it often destroys every card involved, or seemingly random ones in the loop until the loop stops

During resolving effect, if the loop can not be stopped, the card cause the loop must be destroy and it count as destroy by card effect aftet resolve. There is already a case of loop switch control with Jinzo and Crackdown. You can search it through youtube via channel rinri

Infinite loops with no change in the gamestate are forbidden in YGO. So, yes that was an illegal move and by rulings cloudcastle gets destroyed when it hits the opponent field and doing so trigger the whole thing.
