After watching all these videos, Nelson has become the voice in my head when I play. "Hmm, tricky position” “Let’s see…takes, takes, takes. I like that. Let’s do it.” "The rooks are coming over and black is in trouble” “Let’s see where the queen goes”

Many years ago ('70s) an older lady at work told me to slice a lemon into 6 pieces and bite down on one of the slices, the lemon juice was an instant relief for my sore throat. 5 more treatments available to use till the pain styops returning. Been using this trick for better than 45 years now.

The only time you get even slightly emotional is when someone starts trying to flag you and it seems to kick your ELO up to GM level. Whenever they do that and you start rubbing the back of your neck I know its all over for your opponent, its so funny

I was watching your 1300 climb and in 2 of the games they lost their queens I believe some people who are rated 600 to maybe 900 cheat .but after 1200 they seem easier to beat

I've never tried the whole root, but I make a sort of ginger tea for a sore throat and other things. It's just a half teaspoon or so of the ground powder in a cup of hot water, and it works well. I will have to try the root itself next time.

It’s kinda weird I had fallen behind on this series because I was busy at work, but I caught up because I was sick - and well I guess you were too. I hadn’t heard of trying ginger root I am almost over it but I’ll keep that in mind. I wonder if we had the same thing. Really like this series though. I’ll be sad when it’s over. It’s helped my with my tactics but I have realized I need to do a lot better in the opening and end games

in the second game with 1:30 left I would have simplified down to where you had just a rook left and he had no pieces left. I am far less likely to blunder and it's an easy win for me even just using the king and rook vs king.

Hi I'm revisiting some of your older stuff. In your latest videos you still have that cough. I got COPD in 2018 probably from SARS-18 (they didn't have tests back then and still don't). My cough was so bad that at least three times a day I thought this is it. Then I switched to a doctor who prescribed prednisone and voila. Half a tablet every couple of weeks means I can breathe freely again and the low dosage doesn't expose me to risk of diabetes. I hope that you read this and try it.

I really don't understand how game statistics is calculated. The last game was 80% accuracy and only 1 blunder?! We saw 600 ELO play better than that. Also, I think it's quite remarkable that you didn't encounter a single cheater yet.
