Piercing the heart with this one, father. You hit on several themes of my Lent thus far, even repeating verbatim a phrase I've said to God many times: "Just tell me what to do and I'll do it." But what this video did differently than all the other videos that say to surrender is that you answered the question I've had all along: "What does it look like?" Because it's felt so abstract to me, and you were the first to be honest enough to say that it is abstract, but the imagery of reaching the bottom and only being able to cry out for help and nothing else, that's where this video framed the painting. Thank you

I’ve been struggling with OCD and I’m disgusted by germs or allergies hat I think is trying to contaminate me. I wash my hands and I beat myself up in all these routines that just take up my time is my sense of “control”. Pray for me yall.

Ok that’s me. You’re speaking directly to me. Control only comes though when other people are taking advantage of other people’s GOODNESS. And then we end up living like fools so we who see the BIG pic the to try a handle on a situation when we see it spinning out of control but not all is it is CONTROL some of it is to keep from falling too low in life. It’s a balance. !!!

Yes we do love control in spiritual and life... Even some to the point of pushing and controlling everything around us, who gives talks ,who dates our cousins,etc...or they assert their authority in others... Or we want to go this direction or that direction in the desert 🏜️ or a novia/ o pronto... Or Identity history of life... lord I need you give me your hope...help me guide me... Teach me Lord give me your charity to love you and others... Including those that wounded me...w defamation and terrible cruel tricks...🙏🏽😭

Father Mark, I can see you trying to explain something that is important. I can see what you are getting at in the Psalms. Have you considered trying to communicate some of these ideas through poetry as well? Maybe just to try it out, but I feel like there may be something there, especially with your current desert spirituality theme (which I am enjoying. I think it is quite successful). Given the trappings of the theme, I believe it lends itself to poetic expression.
