When you phone a deaf person after they ask you to text or email them instead

I had a doctor's office get so mad at me because I didn't answer any of their calls for a year. I explained to them again, I am deaf. I literally cannot hear you so I cannot answer the phone. That's why I told y'all to send email or text. I am no longer with them but it gets so frustrating.

It is very true. I did the exactly the same what you did. They don't use email but call me.

We had a customer who was deaf and I put on the receipt DEAF!!! TEXT DONT CALL!!! for when her order came in and she came in and signed that someone tried calling her I’m like 🙄

I can relate to this, and i get frustrated when I ask to text even instead of using relay or email and they say, oh we can't use text. 🤷‍♀️

the amount of calls I missed....... like im not gonna pick up from strangers but if its someone I know ill be like please text me whatever you are gonna say, its often my family who calls me simply so I can see their messages lol
