actually a misconception, though i had the same thought. i heard that the actual purpose of eye patches is to assign one eye per celestial body visible in the sky. by wearing it over one eye all day, when night comes, the sailor just moves the eye patch and does not have to wait for the eyes to adjust to the darkness.

I like turtles Unless you have Lara’s magical wand with some buffs on it. I took that thing till the end, although I did trade out mystic on my last run, soooo. Mystic is best until you have what you need and 30 lvls.

DF you don't have to fight those enemies at the end, you just have to avoid damage and keep climbing the tower. After that, once you kill the boss, it kicks you out of the dungeon and unlocks a hidden boss at the end. I also recommend talking to the priest lady who sometimes 'blesses' you with legendary items. If you select aegis it resets your level, taking away your skill points, but gives you bonus buffs that stack on top. You can aegis multiple times.

Yeah that thing is overpowered. I could barely beat the second boss, and then I found that and the tonfa of shock, and increased my crit chance to like 40%. Then I beat the whole rest of the game without even dropping to like half health. It was like 5 hrs of playtime lol

I had a run where I got up to 60%ish crit with that item. get a fast firing gun like the uzi and its actually pretty hard to die as long as you play it relatively safe. another run I got up to 80% ish crit but sadly never found the blood.

in the "final" boss, arsha you need to stand in the tower and she is going to make those slashes that leave behind platforms that help you get up and when you are on top you can hit her which makes an early ending and giving you some stuff

The enemies at the end keep respawning, the only goal is to stay alive and stay on the platforms and live as the platforms slowly build their way up. I found that being all the way at the top and just jumping around and dashing to be the best bet for staying alive. Also, the Blood of Srobeo item is incredibly helpful to continuously heal off the enemies that keep respawning. Otherwise be tanky and talk to the priest lady to Aegis. It's pretty useful in getting a couple more stat buffs and regaining those levels are pretty quick (Getting to Forest gets roughly 20 levels). Love the content DF!

Speaking as someone whose beaten the game several times, got all of the achievements, and has over 100+ hours on Dungreed, I have to say that Blood of Srobeo is, by far, the most powerful item in the game. If you ever get it at the town altar, it's definitely worth putting 20 skill points into Mystic, as it not only lets you keep it for every run, but also increases your crit chance at the same time. I can consistently get to the final area thanks to that item.

I'm still working on my 5 aegis before I worry bout using mystic to lock down an item like the blood since I'd lose it on the reset anyways.

@DangerouslyFunny - You've discovered the truth - Toughness & Defense are the best stats, it makes your healing items super effective as you can often get to a point where you don't take more than a single point of damage. Defense reduces your damage by a %, then toughness reduces the remained by a flat amount. If you can get a shield and a few accessory items with toughness you can tank most fights. In that final room, it's just a tall chamber with platforms that spawn in. All you have to focus on doing is climbing higher and higher. Don't have to fight anything, but you can smack the bubbles out of the air as they will stun you. Just focus on making it to the top alive. Watching your gameplay of this led me to buying the game, and I enjoy all your videos. Thanks for the work and entertainment, have fun :)

I gave myself the challenge to beat this game before DF did. How it worked was that I would reach farther and farther into the dungeons and beat the game before DF posted a video when he did it. I then saw this video with Lasley and thought: "Shit, he beat him I think..." I proceeded to check the date of when the video was posted. 1/2/2020 for the video. 1/3/2020 for me. I had just beaten Dungreed myself today and got on top of the tower. At this point, I was quite sad because I thought I had lost the challenge. Then I saw it... My time is 12:28 AM which means today is tomorrow. I checked the time of the comments and then saw it. The video was just posted 1/2/2020 at around 11:30 PM. I had already beaten Dungreed at about 6:00 PM. Now I feel like stupid. Just thought to share it with people here. P.S: I know DF didn't beat the last "boss" but how could he have known. I found out by pure luck and I wasn't losing hp like DF was (I had a blood of sombrero build), so I generally had infinite time and hp. The monsters were also generally weak and didn't do much damage and you just had to dodge those metal bubble things, so I'm giving the win to DF.

A E G I S : Do it. It REALLY helps. You go to the shrine girl (Rozen) and click aegis. It's basically a "rebirth" that gives permanent boosts, and skill points each time you do it. (Up to 5 times)

Wow that first attack speed run had so much potential. Just great items. I honestly dont think that type if build suits your play style though. Your a little reckless on early fights. You need the healing challace to make it work. I think a powerful defensive ranged build would be much easier on you. Possibly somthing that takes advantage of all the fire and burn damage upgrades and a fire wand.
