I know you get this comment a million times a day, but I just wanted to give my thanks to you. I've started to learn guitar five times over, with several years in between. This year I really found the spark to learn and I have progressed far beyond anything I had previously (although I'm still not playing through a whole song) all because of you and your work. I have been encouraged by you as though you were teaching me face to face, your teaching style through a 15-30 minute video is priceless. If I were in a more financially stable position I would be buying up all of your courses just to give back as I know you do so much for this community that you have grown over the years and for newcomers to your channel and the instrument. Thank you Justin, a million times, thank you.

I have not listened to this song for over 10 years! We played it at my mums funeral and it always upset me when I heard it so it would turn it off. Thank you for uploading this as I think I should now learn this and play it to remember how awesome she was

Much easier to write the code correctly to start with rather than fix the bugs later on - a music hero by all means. Thank you again for all the work you are doing, making the guitar journey easy just as synchronous message passing in functional programming.

You needed to mention the guitarist on this track Justin, Dozens of session players had a try out and couldn't get what the producers were looking for, Until the amazingly talented Dominic Miller came into the studio and laid this version down, that everyone knows in around 10 minutes, Unbelievable really

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart Without saying a word, you can light up the dark Try as I may, I can never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best, when you say nothing at all All day long, I can hear people talking out loud (ooh) But when you hold me near (you hold me near) you drown out the crowd (out the crowd) Try as they may, they can never define What's being said between your heart and mine The smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all Oh, the smile on your face lets me know that you need me There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says you'll catch me wherever I fall You say it best (you say it best) when you say nothing at all That smile on your face (you say it best) (When you say nothing at all) the truth in your eyes The touch of your hand lets me know that you need me (you say it best, when you say nothing at all) (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all (You say it best, when you say nothing at all) nothing at all

Ronan Keating or Alison Krauss, it works. I never thought about learning this song & I absolutely love it. Amazing as always Justin, thanks for reminding me about this song. This is a good one for ear training, so I won't watch the whole thing now, and I'll come back to it to compare.

Update: I've been playing live as a single for many years. The chords are quite simple, but what is the challenge, at least for me is, how unique the changes are. Now, I see why you say this a well crafted song.
@stephenmcconnell78682 жыл бұрын
I’ve been doing this song for a few months after it was requested in one of my gigs (Told them I didn’t know it but I would the next week). I’m a finger picker and use a finger picking pattern similar to your flat picking and also use a strumming pattern on the chorus. I learned the Kieth Whitley version of this song and play it in D. I’m gonna try it in G, because I like the sound of the inversions in G better than D. Thanks for your video.

Hey Justin - thanks for all the lessons, I’ve learned so much from you mostly through KZbin but also from your website. I thought I would let you know about the inaccessibility of the app however to those of us totally blind using screen readers on our smart phones. I’m probably at intermediate level now, but I don’t know how useful the app could be because it just doesn’t work with screen reading software. Perhaps it’s something to think about in respect of an app upgrade.
