Simon I have been playing for about 20 years and for 18 of those I have been playing with Mizuno MP32. I am 59 and have got down to a 6 handicap. I’ve got Taylormade P790’s 4-PW. But I’ve had them lofted up by 2.5 degrees. For example:: 7 iron was 30.5 degrees, but is now 33 degrees. Love them!!

Great Video once again, during this lockdown easily produced the best content in my opinion. I'd love to see my bag. But still enjoy the videos. Anything SAS Golf is good for me though. I Might have to change the distances on my clubs because hitting clubs into a net is getting me hitting it pure.

Hi Simon My bag consists of Mizuno ST200 driver ST200 3 wood my irons are Mizuno MP54 4-PW wedges are Mizuno S18 Satin and are 50°- 54°-58° and a Odyessy O Works 7 putter. I have had must of the low degree clubs F9 standard and one length, F8 even the F7 I played my first round of golf in 1972 with Wooden Driver bladed clubs was awful did improve a bit but, packed up playing for nearly 20 years had a set of Desert Classic irons a Callaway driver Ping anser putter then bought a set of Mizuno MX 23 irons kept them for close on 15 years then changed to the Cobra irons and driver this year have gone back to Mizuno as stated above now 68 year old still play (did) twice a week driver club speed is 85 mph checked when had driver fitted play off of 14

You can already get X-stiff graphite shafts, not that many but there are some. I have recently added about 8-10 mph extra club head speed so gone from 77 mph with 7i to just over 85 mph. Should I be moving to stiff flex - currently playing i210s with Steelfiber i80 reg shaft in them? Before lock down the extra speed seemed to result in a lot of shots which were too high and left

Hey, I have a handicap of 23 and i‘m 17. My old clubs all have senior shafts and the irons are to short for me😬 I got them all from my grandfather. So now I need new clubs from putter to driver. Do you know what clubs I should get?? And I really don‘t like fairwaywoods, so I would rather use long irons. Thanks for helping me out👍

Another great video, top work! I've recommended you to my mates as this is great content. I'm making my way through your videos and watched the one about pro shops struggling during these times. I ended up choosing to buy my new irons through a pro and got a much better deal than at a retailer. (18 handicap, been playing just under 7 years). Callaway mavrik 5-AW, brand new and fitted for 540. Would you say that is a good deal? (Replacing callaway x hot set) I did look down the second hand route on other irons but the savings weren't enough compared to the joy I now have of a brand new set, knowing they should last me the next 10 years (28 years old so may need a shaft change as I improve with fortnightly lessons). Again, keep up the great work!

I dont think those are considered 100 percent graphite I believe that's why they're like a in between hybrid material shaft

Simón, what would you consider traditional loft? I myself when looking at irons zero in on the PW loft, like a 47 degree and I then go on to a 50 degree gap wedge for yardage gap. A 46 pw goes a bit to far for me.

Can I ask a quick question Simon,I currently play G25 Irons,regular shafts,standard everything.I’ve been given a set on Nike vapor speed irons,by someone who has more money than sense,which are standard loft and lie and regular shaft,however they are graphite shafts.I took them to the range (before lockdown) and they felt spot on,I’d even go as far as saying they felt nicer than my Pings.I play off 17 but want to get down as low as possible eventually.Anyway,do you think using the Nikes would hinder my progress or should I just go with the feel I prefer.I know nothing about graphite shafts at all! P790 is the most overrated iron set in history i think. I’m not saying they are bad, they feel good, and they look superior to 99% of what’s out there. But i genuinely don’t get why a 2-16 hcp who swings the 7 iron over 79 mph would ever consider them. The dispersion on them is poor, they are inconsistent, ill swing a 7 iron at 87 mph and it’ll go 200 yards, then i’ll swing at 86 and it’ll go 179. And it’s not my swing, it’s just a hot faced iron, that if you hit it a mm off to the left or right etc it changes significantly, and don’t get me started on hitting out the rough. Can you say flyers ?
