@@grasstoucher779 if it is one a year it doesn't count mate, ANYONE can release a cover. Difference is if you use it as your income for living and hololiv etalents don't for most part. I can only thinnk of 2-3 in hololive that have multiple concerts/release full albums with songs. That would be suisei, watame and aki allthough callie have several records as well. Rest for most part only do covers or 1-3 songs in a yearly event if even that. There are other sides of idol culture too, meet and greet, show up on markets to sell their music etc. You need to look at what japanese idol culture /kpop do and rethink if that is what cover does as the main gig. Hololive members are ENTERTAINERS and more often than not comedians with fuckups ( some staged even ) . Not even fubuki sees herself as a idol just saying, kanata does though Phaseconnect have had several concerts ( no idol in sight ), nijisanji have had concerts ( well tried to have concerts ) even indie vtubers have had concerts. Idol however is the +extra that comes with it.
