If you were making a 2D animated film about Samus, I think this is the sort of artstyle that would fit her best. It has that self-series yet pulpy feeling that harkens back to the covers of old Sci-Fi novels. A Samus in this style is one I could take seriously as a one-woman-army intergalactic bounty hunter.

A damn good game, except for the final section. I got to the second phase of the final boss, died, and realised the last save point was far enough back that I'd have to trudge through that huge cavern full of fission metroids to have another shot, which was enough to make me pack it in. They aren't fun to fight, take so long to kill that it breaks up the flow between failing and retrying the actual final boss fight, and are too aggressive for you to just run past and ignore.
