@@Sarah_270???? How are you diving so far down into feminism but still managing to circle back to being misogynistic? Tessa is a young woman, no quotations needed, it’s not a question. Ballerinas are women, no quotations period. It is possible to critique unhealthy practices in sports WITHOUT resorting to body shaming. Plus, do you realise how much energy it takes to dance like that?! They’re not starving themselves when they have to expend so many calories refining their craft. So let’s not insinuate disgusting things when you don’t know how someone takes care of themselves and base it off hearsay/generalisations.

@lombmusic07 Mhmm... and then it bleeds over into interactions with good teachers. My voice teacher in high school dealt with it well, though. I love that ballet teachers now wear what we called hip hop shoes back in the day. For the curious, they’re split sole gum shoes, more or less. So there’s no sole under the arch, just heavy fabric that bends easily but keeps everything together. They’re super comfy since the thick soles pad your feet but you can still demo pretty effectively in them.
