I actually really like this.. I think now days we’re so inundated with “follow your dreams and quit your day job” that it’s almost a little unrealistic if everything is already working fine and your just “bored”. Life can be monotonous sometimes and we need to remember work is work and most of our happiness and joy should and will come from our personal lives..

I was barely a minute into the video before I came to the comments to figure out what that annoying noise was. God, I hope this doesn't catch on.

Your hair looks exceptional in this video, the styling is much better than other videos. The side waving bang whatever it's called is what I like best.

IMO one of Amy's best videos. Shows a lot of insight and adds a lot to the received wisdom.

I'm not bored. I own a business. I have 2 locations and list so long I can't catch up. I have assistants, a manager and I am burned out because I'm the only provider and if I take time off we cannot cover the overhead. Somwrimes it has nothing to do with boredom. I love my job.

This. I have a 8-4, a job I love. I also have a 5-9 where is a similar job but I do everything. I also have a family to look after, as well as all the household chores. I am not bored.

please don’t mistake boredom with lack of what to do. you may be packed with stuff to do and still be bored of the stuff you’re doing. but this video doesn’t say that every single burnout is caused by boredom, it just says that sometimes that’s the root reason, and invites you to think about your case. if your case is not boredom, there’s other ways to deal with it.

the last segment of burnout I had was due to spending hours and days and weeks and years of one-at-a-time "troubleshooting and fixing" issues = "here's a workaround," whose root causes were bad coding and incompatibility, issues that could be been gone forever the first time if the root cause was fixed.

I'm a copywriter for a marketing agency and I'm sure I could make more freelance, but I don't want to do sales/business dev. I don't want to handle backoffice/accounting. I just want to write.

I love your talking points and your way of delivering sensible points. However, I have noticed a lot of sponsorship, and I do congratulate you on getting all those deals. I have however noticed that lately, when I watch this channel it feels like constantly watching ads. I've noticed for quite a few of the videos this year. It's quite difficult to watch when a lot of the video is all about a specific product with namedrops everywhere.

Don't mind the clicking sound. But, you are overtaking it to death. Perhaps just for two or three key points per video?

Boredom, really? Most of the people I know are older and cannot function because their jobs are giving them carpal tunnel or bursitis. Some of them are caretakers and either their body can't take it or their minds can't take it. These days jobs are not paying enough to support a single person and if you're lucky enough to be a family with kids, both of you have to work and so you don't get to enjoy your kids or each other. The root of the problem is working too hard, for too many years, with not enough pay.

the message of this video is not for e every case of burnout, she clearly mentions a specific example and how her theory of boredom relates to that, and she invites people with burnout to think about the root of their problem, could it possibly be boredom or could it be something else? i’ve had burnout because of terrible working conditions and i’ve had burnout because of boredom. take what resonates.

Hi Amy, you make great videos. But as a video editor I noticed that you have just a few Shorts. And I think you should boost them to gain more popularity. I can help you with that if you want and I could make Shorts from your existing videos. PS. NO cost if you're not satisfied with the results. Let me know if you want to.
