This is why I hate it when people say characters are trash. They’re not, some need more investment than others but if you’re willing to put in the work they can become really good Edit: think some of y’all missed the point of what I said. Yes I’m aware not everyone is willing to invest so much time and effort into some characters and that’s fine. But what I’m trying to say Genshin is a pretty forgiving game an most content can be cleared with any character if your choice. Yes there are “better/meta” options and again that’s fine. But calling a character trash for needing more time an investment or just not being as good as some other characters is rather harmful. My point is, Candace will never be a Bennett or a Xingqiu, but she can still be a good and FUN character for those, like myself, who don’t care about whats meta and simply want to try something new out or find her kit appealing. It gets boring, and saying character is trash discourages players , old and new, from try out something new that they might otherwise enjoy.

It's the only thing mine doesn't destroy (with Signora) But yeah, it shouldn't be the main dps of the team most of the time, because you are gonna be stuck for a long time Also I think another pyro for battery is better than having a shield, because you need your burst to heal 🙃

I threw an R5 Halberd on her and had her juggling Treasure Hoarders for fun, and she carried me through the ranks. She got outclassed as a DPS when I ended up with Ayaka, but I'm with you on rebuilding her when I get better artifacts for her with a better understanding of character builds. 🙌

Honestly I just built candace last week, I use her on my plunge team and I was hitting 101k dmg in the abyss with her. I always wanted to build her just because I like her design but didn't feel like she had many teams she was super good on. thankfully plunge teams are kinda universal. glad I didn't skip Xianyun because she's honestly been a big boon to my team options.

After seeing arle’s kit and how others can’t heal her, my first thought was, “oh so she’s gonna be another Hu Tao in co op lobbies, one shot away from dying” and low and behold. Im a firm believer in playing the characters you wanna play, but if you keep dying in a co op, you’re kinda not being helpful😅. That aside, I love seeing a dps Candace. She was one of my earlier characters that I got that I loved playing because of the parry from her shield. Playing her is what made me fall in love with Beidou’s playstyle and I hope to one day rebuild her. I have a team comp and build in mind for when I finally do it. All I need is a lot of luck on artifacts, a (5*)weapon, and her last two cons I’m missing (the last one doesn’t benefit her that much but its the thought that counts).

She doesn’t tend to die much, but in the arle fight she WILL end up dying, especially since the only way to clear BoL is through her burst. And arle’s massive pyro resistance doesn’t help matters. You wouldn’t bring a pyro character to that fight besides bennett, anyway. Same as how you wouldn’t really bring a pyro character to signora or a hydro to childe.

Depends what fight and if her player can do fine without shields. I had a run in a domain with no healer and the Arle user didn't die once. I also use her myself and don't have much trouble staying alive. But yeah, unless there's c2 Zhongli in the team you better not bring her to Arle and Signora(since they both have pyro res)

Any character can be a dps, you just gotta invest in it. Everyone kept saying that xianyun is a trash damage dealer, yet i am a xianyun main, and even tho i don't have her fully built yet (after months of farming still can't get a goddamn crit dmg circlet with crit rate or anemo goblet with crits for 4 piece desert pavillion) she's the reason i've been able to clear the abyss so easily. Today, after more than 1year having c5 Candace ( took almost 200 wishes back than, I also got 2 cyno as the bonus) I feel even more proud of her as Candace main. Using her signature, I can easily hit 60k with normal vaporize. 70k with Homa also in normal vaporize. With only kazuha/nahidu/zhongli and 1 pyro onfield, I can hit 80-100k with ease.. To me, she's my best 5* Thanks for the vid, I love her even more!

Candace is an interesting one. Might be good if she had Bennet or Chongyun for some Pyro or Cryo application. Her Specialty is being a tank and countering big attacks from enemies. she can parry far more damage than Beidou but deals less damage. A lot of new enemies deal high damage,have thick shields and im pretty sure hoyo wants to add shield bypasses and poison type enemies. This might be a good counter
