When Your Epic Adventure to the Carolinas-Myrtle Beach Gets Preempted by Hurricane Beryl

In the middle of me sharing my 10 day Adventure to the Carolinas-Myrtle Beach, Hurricane Beryl Hit Texas. Most of the footage you will see is cell phone video. That's about all the phones where good for, as cell phone towers and all internet serve providers were down. But like I always say...
There is always a lesson to be learned from every situation, circumstance and YES! Storm.
The storms of life do not make you or break you. It is the Word of God working in your life that makes you victorious, and the lack of God's Word makes people fail. He said that Hurricane Beryl, a Cat 1 storm, hit Texas Monday, July 8th, with winds of 90 mph and rain totaling 10-15 inches. Three people have been confirmed killed, and about 2.6 million customers were without power across Texas by Monday evening. Yes, Beryl did a number on Texas, and for us, that number was six days without power and one 65-foot tall pine tree that went down, missing our neighbor's home and car. But it also brought a personal reflection on the storm's impact, reminding us of the power of faith and community in overcoming challenges.
Neighbors help neighbors and remind me that even though storms come to test our faith and reveal whether we are doers of the Word or just hearers. It also shows us that even in the middle of a storm, God is still in control, and He still has angels. There are Good Samaritans walking the earth who are willing to help those in need.
