Hi Clay! Thank you for the nice vídeos. I tried so hard to get back with my ex. He told me that he didn't fall in love with me and he left me in June after 4 months together. I had a conversation over phone with my man last night. After a basically a week of silence he texted me to let me know he is ready to let me know what is going on. He told me he wanted to break it off but hopes we can remain friends. Time apart helped me get back on track to me and the phone convo was the best we had had in months. I felt positive and felt myself. He wants to hang out platonically. I said I would be open to it. Have you told him that your breakup really opened your eyes to how how much you needed to change things in your life? An ex may feel upset that you're only changing now that the two of you aren't together. The reason is because he sees this as you not thinking he was worth the effort back when you were together. But if you can help him to re-contextualize what's happening, it can help him let go of some of that frustration.

Sounds like they actually does have feelings if they still want to be in contact with you. Start by understanding that in all likelihood your ex doesn't see you as a platonic friend, but that they don't know exactly how you fit into each others' lives right now. "Friends" is just a label that gives them permission to continue seeing you without the pressure of having to decide right now. Keep building the emotional connection with your ex.

Always remember that making out and sleeping together may not be a solid sign of getting back together.
