That song is titled Chaparral. It first appeared on the Buckaroos instrumental album titled "A Night On The Town With Buck Owen's Buckaroos". I bought all their albums as they came out and got to meet Don and the boys and Buck. Those videos were filmed in Oklahoma City, Okla. and sponsored by the Mathis Bros. Furniture Company. They were called the Buck Owens Ranch Show. HeeHaw began a few years later.

Ok, you're very smart with this channel, using a bunch of clips by great guitarists; everybody could have done this. But the transcriptions? INCREDIBLE WORK, how can you possibly pop a new one out every day? You must have worked on this for quite a while, bravissimo!

Some great stuff in the Country genre to be sure. Back before Country and Western was even a genre, there were some incredible musicians in what was called the Hillbilly or Bluegrass tradition ( the music Johnny Cash started listening to on the radio) that you all might want to check out. Later day greats like Chris Thile and Albert Lee are worth a listen too!
@joshartall8368

Country was definitely a genre at the time(and before) and so was Western aka Western Swing which was around and called that for about three or four decades prior to this. Country and Western music is just both kinds of music and the term was coined by record companies in the 40s to replace the term hillbilly music. Great licks nonetheless

LOVE LOVE LOVE this channel! Wish this was around, wish KZbin was around when I was younger and had time to sit and learn from these transcriptions you so graciously provide. One thing tho. Don't take this personally. I just think that the talking, as winderful as it is, didn't be half of the video. Maybe I'm just too busy all the time, but I find that I just skip a head trying to get to the meat of the vid. There's another wonderful series that I like to watch and that also spend a lot time talking for half the vid. I could be wrong. Perhaps people like the long introductory? Thanks for these! Wish I could put you and KZbin into a time machine and go back to when I was 15. I'd be that to Lil Wayne's guitar abilities now. 😂

I hear what you're saying, but hear me out on this... I make one of these FREE videos EVERY day. I know you know how much time goes into that alone, let alone filming me talking about the artist. You've been subscribed to me for one week, and the chances are that's because I asked you to. I'm running a business here, and it's a business where you don't have to pay any money to get tons of value, but part of that business is the person behind the work. People need to know these aren't just found online, it's not just magic software. There's a passionate man sitting here doing it all... and you can do it too! I need people to know that or I wouldn't have the time to do these every day.

Love the country transcriptions. Suggestions: Thumbs Carlisle (not sure if/how tabs would work for him but still). Amos Garrett’s studio work on other people’s records-Jesse Winchester, Emmylou, of course Ms Muldaur, and a bunch of others I’m not remembering just now. He obviously composed his studio solos ahead of time but they are quite distinctive and very musical.

Let's also talk about Don's lead pickup Classic Tele tone made for TV. A Heavy Metal players nightmare is to arrive in HELL with a Fender Telecaster and this guitar tone. But for TV in the 1950's this tone was golden. Also on AM radio the Telecaster was heard loud and CLEAR!

It's a thorough book, the tabs are top notch and there's a wealth of information in there useful for guitarists of all levels that are new to country. My goal is to devote 20 minutes a day to it as a resolution and hoping to become a really good tele picker in 2023. Cheers!
