It's literally part of the immune response so..... not exactly lol When you're sick, most of what you're feeling IS your immune system.

Not always. Your immune system activating reactions like fevers and sneezing shows that it's working just fine. It has to take different actions according the type of disease or pathogen that affects the body. It won't always feel smooth, but it helps gets you better at the end of the day.
