This brings back so many memories for me. I was in the US for 9 years and had to leave to Nigeria within 60-150 days after I lost my job on a work permit. And I was not going to marry for the papers. So I summoned all the faith and trust I had in God, and I can tell you that everything worked out perfectly. I got married to my primary school classmate, traveled to Canada for my Masters, finished and got a manager job in a government organization. Now waiting for my PR process to be completed by God’s grace.

This was me in Spring of last year. Been applying for sponsorship jobs since 2021 January that I moved in as a student and every time UNFORTUNATELY 😢! My visa was to expire 31 May 2023 and as at 10th of May 2023, I didn’t know my left from my right. To even worsen it I had an academic setback that disqualified me from applying for the PSW which was the only option left. I became depressed 😔! Developed eating disorders ,put on a lot of weight and everyone who saw me thought I was healthy and doing alright without knowing what was going on with me. But on the 27th of same month, Chai 😢 God! I got a call from one of the numerous interviews I had in the past and that call changed my story! Now I’m relaxed in my good Skilled Worker job with long term stability. Worked on my shape and eating disorder and now back to my normal old self again. Abroad life especially when you are single no be joke ohhh. It’s always ONLY YOU,YOUR GOD and your Struggles . Chidera was right! IT DOES GET BETTER WITH TIME! Never stop believing! ❤❤

Man!!! Life is not that serious ooo. If you are going back to Nigeria because your visa is expired, don’t break down. Let God be God!! I know it is easier said than done.. Cheer up and come up with plan B. I always say this, it mustn’t be the UK. If not for anything, the UK is living on past glory. Core brits are leaving and we Africans are crying because of what??? A stay! Phewwww

This was my life Jan 30th 2024where my leave to remain expired as a student. And I couldn’t apply for a PSW. My mental health was at -100. Go back to Nigeria? When I came here for greener pastures? Where do I start from when I get to Nigeria? That’s why I believe when you are in the uk, you need to be up to date with information and immigration advice.

@victoredwards39599 ай бұрын
@user-yn1cz5sf8j . Staying in Uk as an illegal immigrant is not a good idea. Go back to Nigeria and find an alternative country to go to, if Nigeria is not for you . But remember as you get older, the more difficult it gets.
