Never saddle a dead horse. If you put the ubolt around the other way it won't damage your main cable from the winch.

Just found your channel and have subscribed and watched all your videos. You seem to be having way too much fun. 🥰 I grew up way back in the bush, but back then it wasn't call "offgrid". It was just the way we live at that time.(60 yrs ago). Noticed many people asking where you were and from what I have seen on KZbin, it is best to keep it rather vague. I followed a channel about 7-8yrs ago in the lower 48 and someone figured out where they lived and posted their address online and shortly after they had people driving into their site trying to meet with them. Someone else actually phoned CPS because they didn't think that was the proper way to bring up children. They eventually shut their channel down, sold their place and moved to get their privacy back. There are some crazy people in this world that just can't let others live the way they want to.

Thank you so much! That sounds like an incredible way to grow up. We appreciate the advice and will definitely be cautious of that.

I LOVE my lights!! Such a game changer in the dark season. Last year we didn’t have any outside lights and only used headlamps to see all winter, it was awful! Being able to see outside and have it be pretty Christmas lights too is life changing 😅

The lights are looking great. So many trees where you drive, hope you guys have a chain saw in the vehicle at all times.

Thank you so much! And yes we definitely take a chainsaw if we’re headed into the bush.

You have installed your cable clamp backward. Also, learn to put a farmers eye in cable then you can always splice it without a trip to town.

Just looked that up! Thank you for those tips! We are going to try a farmers knot next time and see if it holds up better.

With both of you having mechanical backgrounds, has that been a huge help in problem solving? Use what you got and figure out how how to make it work. Oh yeah - awesome thumbnail!

That was a huge leg up for sure. We have to problem solve daily, and quickly. Life up here is ever changing and every day presents a new challenge, I’m posting a video up of just that here soon. And thank you!!

You didn't film putting in the driveway, or building the house and outhouse?
@FinalFrontierHomestead-i5t23 минут бұрын
I did but not in landscape, and they were all deleted from my phone long before I started this channel. I am going to see if I can find a way to pull some of that footage from Instagram and Facebook.

Wouldn't it be better to buy like five or six of those and that way you got them you don't have to go back into town I'm just lazy. It was just a thought all I'm doing is sharing.
