niubstah It's not to do with height or fame. Here, Sacchi's praise was quoted to him, but remembering how the same commentator disparaged him for his performances at Barca, he seized the opportunity to give him a piece of his own mind. Some may say it lacked decorum but others will find it honest and direct. If for instance, at work or school, some random starts talking nonsense with bad intentions, you could either try to diffuse the situation by being polite and all smiles or you could call him out on it and say he's talking crap.. Both approaches are fine but if you can address and halt a wrong by being firm yet without losing your calm, it's a good habit to have and bullies will quickly take note to search elsewhere for more accommodating targets. In this case, it wasn't bullying but Zlatan clearly felt the criticism was undeserved and he voiced his opinion. Fair game.

Arrigo Sacchi is a legend of football. He has changed the way to play football in Italy and in Europe. He won in 1982 with Cesena the italian league of youth teams. I remember when was trainer of Rimini (league C1-3rd italian league). That Rimini was wonderful and classified 4th for 2 years with a team economically very poor. After with Parma (C1) won the league. The year after Parma only want salvation in league B. Parma ranked 7th. After the "revolution" with Milan (1 national league, 1 italian super-cup, 2 champions league, 2 european super-cups and 2 intercontinental cups). Then the 2nd place at USA 1994 (losing the final with Brazil at penalties).The English magazine TIMES elected Arrigo Sacchi like the best italian trainer of all-times and his Milan the 4th club in the history of football. So, it's better that Ibrahimović to stay calm and to smile sometime. Great athlete and personality but not top player and not team man. He won NOTHING.

Perhaps Ibra was referring to this: Dated March 2010 Arrigo Sacchi, interviewed by Ona Esportiva on Onda Cero Cataluña, said of him about Barça’s purchase of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, completely rejecting the club’s choice of azulgrana: “Barcelona made a mistake in buying Ibrahimovic. He is a fantastic player as a single player, but in a team game he has to collaborate with his teammates. He is a loner. I have already told Pep that he has bought the best soloist in the world, because he has everything: body, power, strength, talent… but he still has several problems. I hope he can solve them ". Or even this one of the days in which Milan were taking on Ibra: "Arrigo Sacchi, former AC Milan coach, criticizes the management on the transfer market at the Gazzetta dello Sport:" Once Milan was an example of innovation and organization, today it engages many players in the descending phase as if they were stickers. The functionality of the technical project and passion are not always evaluated. The purchase of Ibrahimovic, perhaps the greatest soloist in terms of technical and physical qualities, who, however, struggles to play with and for the team, confirms this. And please don't make any juxtapositions with Van Basten, Marco was a master at connecting with the team and taking advantage of the synergies of others. Galliani seems like a hindrance, he has to invent situations and solutions to survive, but in this way it is difficult to create a good future. ""

I see a lot of praise coming from people who think he is so brave and cool and how it’s so honorable how direct he is etc. Honestly, just being direct or straightforward isn’t something to be praised in and of itself. Someone can be very straightforward and direct and always say the wrong things or be very rude. This is such an example. The panelists said nothing wrong but Zlatan acted like a 13 year old spoiled. When he got called out for it, instead of being BRAVE and admitting he was rude and apologizing, he doubles down and continues his childish act. No respect for this performance…

Sacchi has said stupid things before, he isn’t respectful and blames other people when people quote him/remind him of what he has said in the past.
@vitodoriacalcio4 жыл бұрын
Sacchi tries too hard to stay relevant. He isn't as revolutionary as he is made out to be and he was fortunate to have coached those legendary players at AC Milan. Roberto Baggio carried Italy at the 1994 World Cup and without him the Azzurri couldn't get out of the group stage at Euro 96.

he is completely wrong. Sacchi has the right to say whatever he wants about him, even if hes been unfair in the past. He doesnt need validation from Zlatan to speak or comment. Ibra sounds very square and childish. Having said that, you gotta love a guy that speaks his mind every single time. I love how old school he is and how different from current players. It seems like a player from the 80s in today's football.

Sacchi said and hinted that he scored the goal thanks to his shoes size and not on the grounds of his skills and capacities , and this subtle deduction triggered the Ibra answer which could have delivered better , he should have said Mr Sacchi do you think that without that shoes size I would have scored regardless ? Yes or not ? Because if you think I scored on account of my seize shoes and not because of my skills it is not a great compliment , and none could have had raised any objections
@trinacriafitnesstrinacriaf57234 жыл бұрын
Sacchi doesn't want none of that smoke. It's funny that a "soccer analyst" can say whatever he wants about people with 0 repercussion. As soon as the actual player calls him out they say he needs manners.. He say slatan only scored because he has big feet... seems pretty much a diss to me.

Having a bad character is not having personality... Is just about being young and not educated, at 15 or 18 years old someone can be forgiven to be rude, but at 25 30 or 35 if you re still so rude you re just immature.

So making jokes in tv about other people who obviously you're not a friend of is respectful? As far as I know Zlatan he'd kick him his 47 size feet in his face for a dumb unnecessary comment like that. So actually he reacted very calm and thoughtful, proved his point without insulting and gave him back his own medicine (by letting him look dumb which is what Sacchi tried to play on him before)
