Whenever I make bacon like this, everyone asks me for the recipe

North Platte Nebraska. Made these yesterday as appetizers at a family steak cookout. Made 12. 6 with mozzarella and 6 with mild cheddar. Cooked them on the top rack of the grill. Served them with a garlic chicken broth dip. Everyone wants them again.

Everything thing I know about baking and cooking says that'll be a negative. Probably just a simple mistake, as I don't see any paper on the final product.

You have a sharp eye, I notices the same thing, but if you look closely at the ones transferred to the baking sheet they do not have the piece of paper, so this must be an error that was corrected prior to cooking.
