I'm a dental nurse here in the uk, and I too find it annoying, when we are all set up, ready and waiting for the patient and they don't turn up, especially if you've set up for a rct, or crown prep, so annoying! Or they turn up l8, which is worse.

My patients would do that to me when I was in dental school. Of the batch of patients my dental school coordinators gave me, I had maybe 2 or 3 good ones. And that was from about 10 charts. So, I certainly understand what it is like when patients consistently miss appointments.

Yes! We studied gross anatomy during our first year. I was really scared of cadaver lab too but it ended up being okay!! My top tip is to mentally prepare yourself that the point of cadaver lab is to study and learn from. Putting some scent in your mask can also help with the formaldehyde smell.

Hi Laura :) i would like to ask you, i am 2nd year student in Medicine in Europe so the system is little different, and i am always thinking About being dentist, mainly because my twin brother is studying 2nd year and the idea of working together seems perfect as we always did everything together, but on the other hand i am scared to make that decision because medicine is amazing and what if i would find my dream job as a doctor, i dont know, but i saw you said your brother was studying medicine and you know both these schools,i feel like you could help me.
