Thank you Mike! Seems to be a popular neighborhood! Riverstone at Westpointe has a lot of similarities to Valley Ranch since it’s a DR Horton community and also in the same general area on the Far West side but the big difference for me here is that DR Horton is building what I call their newer style of homes that are less of the super basic traditional style they’ve always built and more of a modern farmhouse style. Floorplans and pricing are similar but this style is slightly more expensive and so is the neighborhood as a whole compared to Valley Ranch but the homes are better quality so you’re getting what you pay for here! We are looking at Davis Ranch as a possible location. How are the schools there? And what home insurance is required there? Lastly, as a disabled vet, I need to be in next proximity to the VA hospital. Please advice.

Davis Ranch is awesome. Builders are outstanding as well. Schools are rated very well and are newer so that’s another plus. The VA Hospital is just a 30 minute drive. It’s located in the medical center of San Antonio in the Leon Valley area. As far as insurance, you would just need your standard homeowners insurance. No specialty insurance required! What is the price point, for a 1 or 2 bedroom, condo or townhome, North of the 1604, in the Stone Oak area, or any other area, North of the 1604?

Not too many of those currently out there in those areas but there are a few. For a 2 bedroom, most are in the $300-400k price range with an occasional one being in the upper $200’s. There are are few in Boerne as well for right around $300k. These are mostly townhomes and the one condo complex selling is at The Rim and those are all in the mid to upper $300’s for 2-3 bedrooms!
