Such a great conversation, between two excellent communicators about truly important subjects and really deep questions, both religious and scientific, thank you very much!

Huge fans of you both. I am glad you were able to have a conversation. And, it is always fun to observe the effects of alcohol on intelligent conversation.

Thanks for the recommendation! I had seen Dr Monger on Diablo Critics, but I have never seen an interview with just him. And that Jameson is tasty but strong. 😂

nice interview, but I might be biased because I am a biologist 👍

Some questions presuppose an answer. "Who created the Universe?" may not have an answer, and doesn't have to. Maybe what, when, and how are better questions.

It’s funny how I have the same conversations to people of other faiths, because I left my own which was Greek Orthodox, and i understand the indoctrinated mindset because I once 2 believed I had the truth and would bend scripture to fit my narrative. And it’s hard to talk to believers of any faith about yours or lack of faith. But it’s funny to me how whatever faith or religion you believe is the truth you can see then contradictions and laugh at other people’s faith from the outside as you were not indoctrinated it those.

Evolution is impossible. In order for an animal to evolve the sequence of nucleotide bases in the genome would have to change. However, randomly changing the nucleotide base sequence will simply destroy the instructions for creating that animal from a zygote. Randomly changing the nucleotide base sequence won't cause some kind of phenotypic transformation towards a new and different animal. Doing that will only cause disorder, deformities and death. The animal would become extinct because of nonviable nucleotide base sequences long before reaching a viable nucleotide base sequence that creates a new and different animal.

If mutations only lead to disorder, deformities, and death, how do you explain beneficial mutations, such as antibiotic resistance in bacteria or humans developing the ability to digest lactose as adults?
