I know at some point a bull market ends and a bear begins, it goes on and on... I have a 7figure ballpark goal and I intend spreading across maybe 50k - 150k on plummeting stocks, my question is how can I know when a market bottom has been reached?
@verycautiouspersona2 ай бұрын
You won’t know. Just spread everything across different funds.

I agree with your perspective yet there is going to be enormous shifts over the next few years where certain tokens will be adopted and price will rise whether we are in a bear market or not. Technology will not wait for a bear market low of B'tc. It has to grow. The world is not going to wait until B'tc 4 year cycle low is over. This space is moving into adoption and that can only mean higher prices for those tokens/ coins that have real world use case. Not many, but some will shine. Thanks for your commitment to teaching us all. Deep appreciation. ..... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin. in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Francine Duguay's, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.

The market's direction can swiftly change, with indexes frequently transitioning from a bear market to a bull market precisely when the news is most negative and investor sentiment reaches its lowest point. It's tricky during election years.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Katherine Stewart.

Jurrien's insights are sharp and expressed differently than other people's. His analysis of "Are we in a soft landing?" and what likely lies ahead are great. Thanks! However, the US labour market puzzles me, since I hear anecdotally about the brutal, ongoing tech layoffs and just hard it is to land a new job now. The recruiting process is dehumanizing and badly broken. What are Jurrien's thoughts about that?

With interest rates in the same ballpark they were from 2002 to 2008, relative to earnings s&p 500 would need to drop 50% to get to 2007 levels.

First off this is a raging bull market and this is by far the most important point to make when discussing matters such as this as pointing out reality is quite often not done and there is a psychology to a raging bull market as well so if you don't even get the reality right can't discuss the psychology good job passing the most important test. As far as "what are the expectations going into the meat of earnings reason" bears on spot on in one sense: *CRAZY* out of this World expectations have been priced in and this is correct reality point #2 "raging bull market is a raging bull market" valuations seem to be of limited if no "value" which brings us to critical point #3 "raging bull market for good reason" crazy high expectations are not only met but being exceeded hence "in a raging bull market" at the open tomorrow Wednesday forget climbing a wall of worry but leaping over that in the proverbial single bound. So as opposed to "where are we in the cycle" I look at the actual calendar and "where are we time and date wise: General Election followed by the Holidays." That says to me passing anything having to do with what makes bad new actually bad namely long gold no interest in gold at all mostly ever but especially so right now. Of course never forget reality one *"where are in a raging bull market"* not everything soars in such a reality at all proverbial bull in a china shop even perfectly sound long ideas get annihilated down in a raging bull market in fact some of the worst bear markets for example 1998 happen during a raging bull market.
@tastypymp12872 ай бұрын
Just because equity prices increase does not make it a raging bull market. It can be the opposite infact.
