Other Hermits: Exit through the Rift and then scattered about the different empires. Ren: Immediately thrown into an empty tomb The Man lost his crown and the Rift really just went "this is your grave, now get in it".

I find this interesting. Ren goes into season 2 of empires with everyone else. But xB somehow manages to go to season 1 of Empires. The heck? Where is the rift gonna take the next hermit who travels?

Well Rosie did say it was unstable. And when xB started going thru, he was fiddling with the code. I think Ren went thru before him, Ren was just asleep in the tomb while xB was shenaniganing.

Star Date: 221113-02 This is odd. According to RentheDog the Rift was still open a day after the original 13 Hermits went through, despite the Rift appearing to close on both ends mere moments afterwards. I can only postulate that the Rift somehow responded to Ren's wish to join his fellow Hermits. Though, while unstable it did allow him travel through to the Empires Universe. Ren is very lucky as it could have spit him out anywhere in the MineCraftVerse. How this puzzle piece fits in with xBcrafted's puzzle piece remains to be seen. I'll have to spend more time investigating to figure out how all this connects together for the broader picture. -Natanis Likens Out.

I feel like it should be noted that the rift on the HC side definitely didn't close mere moments after since Bdubs was late and able to come through, and as for the Empires side, it took a few days, I think Lore wise the easiest way to explain things is that Ren was just a little later and with the fact that he was trapped in the crypt and didn't see much of anyone for a while, that explains why he was not seen before hand

@@earthbloodelf5289 Lore wise there's a few things you may have missed. I believe it was DocM77, who, after being scattered across Empires like the rest ended up right back at the Rift on Empires. The Rift was shown to be "closed". From what we see in his video of this event he went straight from where he got teleported to, to accidentally finding his way right back at the Rift. No more than 5 minutes passed during this period. Then in some of the other's videos we see the rift close on both sides. I believe Grian was one of the few that showed this happening. So, the rift was LONG closed before either BDubs or Ren went to it inside Grian's base. Lore wise, they should both still be on Hermitcraft. Their narratives for how they went through the Rift and ended up in Empires really doesn't fit with what was established in the initial crossover videos.

Hard read: the Rift will re-open when Mumbo joins the server again, builds a redstone portal reactivator (flint and steel in a dispenser), says "its really quite simple," and re-opens the portal

What if Empires is the far future of hermitcraft? like the rift is the same rift, the hermits are time traveling instead of multiverse hopping. This also trends with the false as a time lord. Hmmm? I expect the rift will be restarted by Doc. He'll be all "Ugghh, guys, Grian shouldn't be messing with technology like this". He'll go behind the rift, do some complex chicanery, make up some plausible sounding babble about update suppression, flick some levers and set a minecart in motion, and the rift will sputter back to life on the Empires server.
