Sam, my heart goes out to you. You have obviously anguished over this situation, and I commend you for working so hard to give Soup his best option at this time. You have not failed Soup. To the contrary, you have done the best you could do for him under the present circumstances. Most importantly, do not let this episode deter you one minute from your calling. Instead, double down on doing what God has called you and gifted you to do with these horses. Prayers and best wishes for the next chapters in your journey.

Yay for Soup! I’m sure you did the best by him. He is a beauty, please give us further updates on him when you can. Thanks Sam, this must have been very difficult.

Thank you so much for posting this update on Soup. He reminded me a lot of my older mustang mare that I am restarting after giving her time to rest and decompress. She's never mean, just needs a lot of repetition, time, and patience. I learned a lot from those videos, and I hope to one day see you work for a more extended period of time with a sensitive horse and document the journey!

It can be so very hard to do what is best for animals and also people. The effort you are putting into that for these horses proves your integrity. Anyone who thinks horses don't understand or communicate is totally wrong. I am glad he is close so that you can maybe stop in and reconnect occasionally. Thanks, Sam, for all you are doing for horses.

Sam, as you well know, not every wild Mustang is meant to be gentled. It's such a hard situation, and I know you didn't make it lightly. Since his energy was so much better after arriving at his new home, that's a sign you did the right thing....for him. And this could change! Maybe he just needs time, his own time. I would LOVE to know what the animal communicator said. Whether people believe it or not, I've always kept an open mind. There is SO much we do not know, or understand. Personally, we would be silly not to keep an open mind. What if you missed an opportunity to learn. I know I did the same years ago with a horse from a rescue, especially once hearing stories from those who knew what an equitation stable put this horse through. When we are backed up against a wall, you try anything and everything.

He was so so sweet deep down and was trying, but some just want to be wild. Actually one of my favorites on this channel, I wish he worked out. No shame in that! Real question is, why did you name him soup!? 😂

@@Lilee177that is not true. Most of their rescues are not “famous” at all. The majority of their rescues are older horses.

Soup will be okay because he has people who care about him. He's lucky you're the one who took him.❤ I'm ecstatic he's in a sanctuary. Can you ask them if we can donate to them?
